My mrs is though. I’m wondering if a 26” wheel will fit in the back. You’re not that short mate!
Thanks. Doesn’t look like a 26” wheel will fit.![]()
Yeah mine has a £200 delimiter on from the previous owner. Does seem a bit pointless on an sl.I have been riding the Kenevo SL expert 2021 for almost 2 years now with the 1.2 engine (without changing the TCU or battery), and the engine assists up to 33km/h.
I was told that I could limit it to 25km/h, 33km/h or unlimited, but the latter didn't make much sense knowing that it is a low-power engine. So I left it at 33km/h which is ideal.
I'm still amazed why Specialized doesn't sell the 1.2 engine separately at this point...
My KSL 1.1 has stopped turning on or charging.
I've tried plugging in the charger and turning on a few times, also cleaned the charger connectors with contact cleaner.
Think the internal connectors might need a clean.
Anyone have any instructions or youtube videos showing how to remove the battery - I think it's like the Levo etc but I need to remove the charger connector first, to get the battery out.
TVM, John
Mine does this sometimes and if I disconnect and reconnect the TCU it usually sorts it out. Just remove the little screw holding it in the frame, remove it, and completely disconnect and reconnect the wires to it.My KSL 1.1 has stopped turning on or charging.

Thanks Dax,Think Rob showed how to do it in his KSL video.
TVM, I tried that and also charging the TCU through the USB port.Mine does this sometimes and if I disconnect and reconnect the TCU it usually sorts it out. Just remove the little screw holding it in the frame, remove it, and completely disconnect and reconnect the wires to it.
Is the bike still under warranty?TVM, I tried that and also charging the TCU through the USB port.
Interestingly, if I connect the USB I can turn off and on but when on I get the message: "No Battery Check App & Connector".
I wonder if the battery needs replacing and if this is even possible?
Are you sure the older model TCU battery can be recharged? I think there was some instructions on how to replace it.TVM, I tried that and also charging the TCU through the USB port.

TVM Mine definitely has the rechargable battery. Here's from the manual:Are you sure the older model TCU battery can be recharged? I think there was some instructions on how to replace it.

You can get brand new internal batteries for the KSL off Certini for ~£400, but I’d want to make sure that’s actually the problem before spending money on one.

Already posted on the "what did you do to your ebike" thread but I'm hoping to catch someone on here who's seen this before.
Brand new 1.1 KSL frameset (purchased direct from Spesh in November 24), never ridden or even been sat on as I've not got round to building it up yet -- it's a spare for my existing one.
There's 3mm of play on the motor spindle, I think it's different to the crank play issue as it looks more like there's something missing in the middle of the motor?
Call the ebike motor centre, they told me you have to do the non drive side crank up before the drive side, or it is the opposite way round, if you don't it can pull the spindle from an internal bearing ( Or something similar ) but that video defintely looks like what the described to me, I know I'm sounding a bit vague but think that will be the case. Not sure what the fix is but probably a warranty motor in your case eBike Motor Repairs & Servicing - HomepageAlready posted on the "what did you do to your ebike" thread but I'm hoping to catch someone on here who's seen this before.

Still happy with the KSL!
I'm hesitating to sell my Transition Spur, I'm spoiled by the ease of the Kenevo... I feel like the only non electric bike I really enjoy pedaling is my road bike now. View attachment 154795
Nice, I don’t want to derail the thread too much but what’s your setup?I find the spur is a great compliment to the ksl, it’s different enough to justify owning. I don’t ride much, but everytime I do, I find it really rewarding
