I got my DP C245 v3 from Linda.
@thaeber These are almost exactly the same settings I used.

My initial stock settings felt ok. But I wanted the motor to assist earlier, there was a delay before the motor assisted.
Changing the angle startup to 0 solved this problem.
Ok so a couple of things; it is true when torque is applied to the pedals 0° helps. However, when you’re going downhill and you’re in to low a gear, you have to be in a gear that produces torque of some measurable kind, in order to get the motor to spin up. This is somewhat different than the amount of torque required on my Shimano motor, the Shimano motor tends to be much more sensitive and feels much more natural as result. From what I’ve seen, there’s nothing in the BESST tool, or in the iOS app that affects this behavior.

I haven't seen anything in the App to adjust the torque sensor sensitivity. Maybe try playing with "Acceleration Feature"? Try max acceleration? 🤷‍♂️

I just remembered. Linda sent this photo to me a week ago. Still in testing stage I think. So exciting!

Looks like there won't be a carbon motor cover. The stiffness of the carbon cover may potentially damage the frame if it hits a rock. They are looking at a softer plastic material.

I'm no material scientist but apparently a few aftermarket carbon bash guards seem to be OK on Specialized Kenevos and Levos for both carbon and aluminum frames.

Sure they'll be more expensive than plastic, but this is the 3 rd attempt by SZZS to get it fixed. So, I was advocating for carbon with a thinner profile. Disappointed that they are ditching the carbon bash guard upgrade. 🤔 Certainly stronger and thinner... probably weighing less too. But put the absorption frame armor on to deaden vibration up the frame...and boom!💥 Great upgrade! (IMHO).

Anyone know the weight for m820 crank spider

Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! Please help me choose!
MYR62.50 44%OFF | For-Bafang Motor Four-claw Base M420 M500 M510 M620 M820 Motor Plate Tooth Aluminum Alloy Conversion Brand New
on my side, I've bought a m510 spider on Aliexpress and the offset seems completely wrong. I did not installed it but when compared to the original 34t chainring, it seems completely different

The Vitus m510 crank is about 270g if that helps.

Did some on the trail testing and it seems what works best to give the motor the most natural feel for me is turning acceleration down to two, and using the offset start up at around 11%. This is also conserved considerable battery. But mainly has reduced that binary on an off feel the motor comes stock with.

Tried this firmware for a while. I think this make better power delivery than my previous 102002.2 firmware. Later will test power decrease under 20% battery.

Guys, I've been so impressed with this thread,
20230929_140459.jpg

you've all inspired me to get one👍🏿
20230929_140538.jpg

Gotta be honest, I've not really spent much time on super light/mid assist emtbs.
20230929_140621.jpg

So this will be a treat. Not sure if it's been mentioned before. But I was surprised to find that the main rocker link is also made out of carbon aswell.
20230929_140545.jpg

To play it safe, I'll opt to run an air shock
20230929_140924.jpg

Lol. They even went as far as install the headset cups. Bless!!😄
20230929_140639.jpg

Cable routing seems simple. And I should be able to run a lighter battery compared to the 43v Bafang proprietary battery.
20230929_140645.jpg

Dropper insertion seems generous on this XL. But the charge port could pose a potential problem. But I'll grab a 210 one up dropper this weekend.
20230929_140807.jpg

Still can't get over the fact that the rocker link is carbon as well!!!😮
20230929_140628.jpg

The lack of a seat stay bridge does have me questioning the torsional stiffness in the rear. But I'll reserve judgement for now.
20230929_140753.jpg

But considering that this frame is made out of a stronger grade of Carbon compared to other frames I've built up,
20230929_140903.jpg

Initial impressions are pretty good.

Like I said, thanks to everyone who's contributed to this frame on this thread. Seriously, it's taken a lot of the "guess work" out of the equation👍🏿

Looks good Neeko and likewise, your videos helped me understand the bafang ecosystem a bit better.

Does anyone with our CEF50 frame and big 720Wh battery know what type of 21700 cells that are being used?

SZZS and Linda are on holiday which is too long to satisfy my curiosity before I lose interest.😁

For better context, watch the short vid below on "new" cell chemistry before chiming in por favor....

Sorry is it an LG/Samsung/Panasonic and what amp/capacity?
Screenshot_20230929-095202.png

The vid guy says the 21700 5.8 A cell yielding 16% more juice overall and is newer chemistry. 🤔

Yet, I see a Samsung 8.6A out there. Wondering how our new our 21700 cells battery would stack up (given same motor Voltage and battery configuration) and if it's a little hype on his end.

I know it's always risky asking this type of question, but someone has to be brave enough to ask the "dumb" questions...just for improved learning.👊
