Have you a bike Gordon to ride at the moment, I had 2019 expert that I spect out to the hilt and was offered good money so I sold but then was without a bike for 5 months.I nearly lost the plot.

Thanks. I'm good. Have my current bike. A 2021 Merida e160 9000. My previous bike. A 2019 e160 900. My eZesty and a Merida eBig 9 I converted to a 140mm hardtail bomber!

So I'm good for a bike.

Just was told November but someone stuffed up in the supply chain and I wasn't allocated a bike. Then told I was next on the list, which 'aint true either. But I have a ride and eventually, a bike will arrive.

Hello I have a question regarding the wheel circonference in Mission Control App. I know it's only the authorized Specialized dealer who can modifie the circonference in fonction of the tire choice. I ride with an Assegai 2.5 at the back so the wheel circonference should be about 2234mm. On Mission Control App I can read that it's set to 2250mm. So, the distance is wrong beetween the bike information and the reality (GPS). My question is for those who ride with 2.5 or 2.4 inch tires : what value do you set for the right wheel circonference?🤔

Your speed is out by 0.7%. Probably less than the margin of error for your GPS. Wouldn't worry about it.

What chain is everyone running as a replacement or spare. The spec is saying SRAM NX Eagle, 12-speed but what can you run ? Also happen many links do they have on the 2022 now. Thanks

Hi Volks,

may I raise some questions, I couldn't answer myself...
I am totally in between S4 and S5. Spec configurator says S5, if I alter one lenght by 1cm it says S4. I am 185 tall, have long legs 93cm, riding style is all-round (up/down/technical). I test rode S4 and S6 (S5 was not available), ok S6 little long, but both still felt good.

Next question, I saw the corrosion issues on the headset here... should be embarrassing for Specialized considering the money... but "should be" doesn't solve the problem, as I am building the bike myself ( S-WORKS frame), what to do about the headset? (decades ago we all went with Chris King ;)... )

Thanks,
Tom

Definitely S5 for your style of riding. I am 190cm and went for an S6. The S5 felt a bit short. I love having the extra length it gives me so much more room to place my weight in the correct position and drive the bike through corners. It’s an in the bike feeling rather than on the bike. It’s stable but turns in great due to the mullet and flies across rough tech sections.

I was thinking of Trickstuff Piccola HD, but will go for XTR M9120, weight inkl. 203 mm rotors is the same as Trickstuff (considering lighter XTR Rotors inkl. mounting and hubs)
Your are going with Shimano rotors plus Trickstuff... how is that working?

I never pulled the factory protector off. I'm going to dig through my old smartphone protectors and make my own.
I'm guessing the factory protector is maybe too thin to count on for more than shipping from the factory?

For what it's worth protectionfilms24 will make custom tempered glass protectors at a size you specify. Looks like the glass on the TCU has rounded sides, so it would be a tradeoff: good protection on the active part of the display, with little or nothing on the rest of the glass.

Somehow the factory protector has stayed on for 6 months and is still doing it's job. I just checked my TCU and it's 32mm x 22mm. I think going full height the screen the corners would hang over onto the plastic but you would have full coverage for the screen. I may order one from protectionfilms24 since the price is actually pretty cheap.

Never mind, they won't ship to the states. :(

Just looked at the site and as you say it’s a reasonable price. What would you suggest I specify for the C - corner radius measurement?

I am curious, does anyone have any actual feedback (not speculation) on how the new levo compares with the Trek Rail 9.X?
I had a Trek Rail 9 in Jan this year nice bike but not as much fun as the Gen 3 Levo to ride Suspension on the Trek was nice along with the side fitting battery. I found that the Bosch motor to be good but prefer the 3 stages of power with the Browse motors. In eco on the Trek it wasn't as powerful as eco on the Browse

Where are you riding? Nuke plant? Dang. I’ve never had a chain rust. Glad you’re happy now!

Surrey Hills. Very sandy if you're not local

I had two NX chains rust in fact the 2nd was rusted in the box it came in

I've just run XO1 for a couple of years and it's been fine. Treat it with zero respect and it keeps on working

Hello, i need advice to choose the size, i'm between s2 and s3, i'm 1,64cm, short in legs, i pedal from center crank o top seat 65 cm, my current Orbea Oiz mesure from tip seat to center handlebar 50 cm, i mesure the s2- 44cm, s3-47cm, in my shop they change the seatpost on the s3 to 125 cm travel to see if i can pedal with the 65cm. is the s2 to sort for me? thanks

The X01 and XX1 are much more durable than the GX and NX. There’s evidence they’re more durable than the XLS too.
Have a look at the independently derived data here: Home - Zero Friction Cycling

We’ll, my Bullit just sold. Buddy owns a specialized dealership and talked me into buying an expert. Hope this is the right move! Now if work would slow up so I can ride! Bullit was a nice ride. I like them all actually.
Why did you move from a Bullit to a Gen3 Levo?
Sorry I’m so slow to your post - hope you’ve got a date for delivery!

I have had the XO chain last heaps longer and am willing to pay the extra.
Agreed except for one point. The XO or XX1 are cheaper over the full life-term of those chains compared to the price of replacing cheaper chains (NX, say) if you look after all chains equally. So, being pedantic, you are happy to pay less!
It’s all there in the Zero Friction website or look at the YT chan.
One caveat, this is true for 12 spd chain-sets.
If you go down the number of speeds on an emtb (11⇢10⇢9 speed including price of cheaper mechs of course) and look after your chain-set really well, then a sturdy 9 speed chain is cheaper again and the mechs will need replacement (cheap) jockey wheels/bearings more often.

I'm 167cm and got a S3. The S2 was slightly 2 small and the S3 felt big. Added a shorter stem and lowered bars on stem and S3 feels like my old Gen2 medium

Easier to make a big bike smaller, you can't make a small bike bigger

Hi, I'm 165 cm I was undecided between s2 and s3, in the end, I had the opportunity to sit down if both sizes in the store and I chose size s2, it is a personal choice and I recommend, if you can, to sit on it, I like the new geometry "longer" and "slacker", but the s3 felt too big for me, I also immediately changed the dropper post to a oneup v2 150 mm

I found GX to be plenty good enough with an XO1 chain in fact that would be my preference as replacement parts are reasonably cheap. I'm after a new bike at the moment to run along the Levo it'll be XT or GX on the drive train

I've run X01 drivetrains they don't seem much better. Shifter is more tactile. Feels heavier when shifting maybe.

Who already blew his damper?
My X2 now lost air at every impact after just 1000km of riding and is just being rebuild.
Same !@#$ as with the Kenevo...

Hi,

I'm looking for an S5 s-works levo 2022 preferably in white in the UK. I've trawled the web and it seems that S5 is the one size that there is no stock to be found in the UK. I've setup stock notifications on specialized's online store, but is there a better way of keeping informed of available stock?
