A question to the owners. Does Specialized mount any spacers in the Fox X2 out of factory. And if yes how many?

It took a bunch of tries to get mine connected at the LBS. We had to get someone else to connect successfully and then close the app when the register your bike thing popped up, then I tried and it connected right away.

i had a hell a hell of a time getting the new Gen 3 Levo to connect to my phone.

it had been OK on the 2019....

i'm usually OK with this sort of stuff but just couldn't get it to connect, so i called Specialized. i told the lady i had a Huawei phone and she said "ahhhh, thats the issue...you can't use a Huawei phone with the new bikes". i asked for a bit of an explanation and was told "there's a document". she said she'd send a copy but never received anything.....

so i asked what i could do and got essentially a big shrug down the phone....i was then told i could either return the bike or get a new phone !!!!!

i'd already dug out how to factory reset the bike but asked anyway just to see what she'd say......apparently there is also no way to factory reset the bike. by this point i guessed i was on my own.

a. i'd already ridden the bike b. i wanted to keep it c. i'd part exchanged my old bike d. it wasn't fair on the dealers either (got great, friendly dealers here, so didn't want to piss them off.)

long story short, hours later and several beers it finally connected (despite being told it wouldn't by Specialized supprt) i'd factory reset the bike, gone as far as reinstalling bt on the phone, factory reset the phone. trouble is, after lets say a couple of beers i can't remember what actually did the trick and just hope i don't have to reconnect it for any reason.

so...dealer support 10/10.....Specialized support, not so much. which is a shame as they've been fine before. guees like most thing it just depends who you get.

About my rattle. My dealer did everything possible to find my rattle. After reading several posts on this thread about people with a similar rattle fixing it by replacing the motor, my dealer replaced mine last week. Good news, bad news. The rattle is still there but the new motor is quieter and seems to have a bit more punch. My dealer has been in touch with specialized support and as of right, there is no know fix. Anyone who figures out where the rattle's coming from please let the world know. I love the bike but the rattle is seriously annoying.

Have you done your helmet strap up? ?

Well ... the inevitable happened. My charger flap thing took off on the breeze the other day. I'm loving the bike overall, and there's not much I'd change, but the charger flap really is a shonky bit of design. No idea how this made it through R&D / testing etc

I ride is West Wales mostly, with plenty of mud and crud so don't want to leave this area uncovered - have gone for the Gorilla tape 'fix' for now.

Interested to hear if anyone's found a workaround / way of improving this, or is the only option is to order another battery bash guard (with the same sh1tty flap) through my LBS?

There were some rumours knocking around that Spesh were working on a fix for this - anyone heard anything more concrete on this?

Thanks for any advice / thoughts

Hi everyone, can I put a 170mm fork on the 2022 and not void warranty? checked support pages only said 160mm is for this bike, but in 19-21 version it says 150mm comes with original and 160mm could be used as well.

Picked up my SW frameset tonight, surprisingly there is no battery inside! On the package label it shows 9.2kg net weight and 12.5kg gross weight, the battery should be in this package.

another guy who picked up 2 days ago just confirmed with he didn't get the battery as well.

local dealer has completely no idea why this happens since we are the first 2 who ordered the gen3 frameset. All other gen3 completely bike they do all contains the battery in the frame.

Still took it home and wait for the dealer sort it out. Anyone else has same experience?

thanks!

It is a bit odd but I have seen a few of the online German retailers selling SW frames without batteries at attractive prices, hopefully it is just a glitch in the Matrix! Now if they sold the white frame I would be all over it like..............

does anybody know if a 29 rear wheel still fits in a gen 3 levo? thinking of an extra wheelset for road/gravel tires and was wondering if a 29 rear with road tires will fit .

Heya team!
Does anyone know the colour or have some pictures of the 2022 carbon comp?
Thanks from Australia
Black, red, bright blue and horrible light green/sage, would have been good to see the oak green continue from memory they paint the frame different to the aluminium. Your Specialized dealer can show you on the dealer website which is where I saw it.

How’s the gen3 holding up all? Don’t see many videos about them on you tube since the release, be nice to see some updates from initial owners!
I also have a Pro and no issues. Love the bike. Way better than my Heckler. I tried all the different front end angles and ended up neutral with the flip chip set on high in the back. With the back set low I was getting too many pedal strikes. Size S5. Very happy with suspension, brakes, and motor. The motor is way more smooth than the E8000 in my Heckler so much easier to keep traction on slippery steep uphills. Night and day really.

Has anyone longshocked this get an extra bit of travel in the rear? I am thinking I would bump the front to 170 which I think is easy enough but for the rear I guess it would have to be sent in, I dunno how exactly that would be done or what to request done to the shock at Fox.

expert vs pro, should I spend the extra 2k usd?

I would like a bit longer travel bike, but may just go one for of these since this is about all that is available to me now.

Not the easiest

Not the easiest to do with a 210 i2i shock. It’s not impossible as there has been bikes in the past with a 210 i2i with a 60mm stroke.

There is definitely space under full compression to get away with a bit more travel, I think you could at least get away with a 57.5mm stroke which will give you another ~7mm of travel.

Noticed that other than the standard version the Fox 38 Fork has E-Bike+ Optimised version too, which has forged crown and thicker wall, anyone has experience with it? I try to identify the stock TL S-Works but looks like it just used the standard version without "E-Bike+", usually you will see a tiny different deco sticker on the chassis.

Another thing is since the 2022 version of forks came out on the market, but couldnt find any release note or information online about the exact upgrades or changes which compare to 2021 version. Need to choose a new fork, confused.

Just came to this thread as I’m in the market for a new bike , I’ve skimmed a dozen or so pages so far and all I’ve picked up is people spending 10k plus on a bike then sticking it together with duct tape .

Welcome to the life-changing world of e-mtb
You’re never going to believe this but they use it on brand new 200m super yachts too. Think of it as a very specialised product for the discerning
