Any idea what this might be. That's me standing up and bouncing on the spot. So it's not the seat or seat post. It sounds like it's coming from the left crank as peddling produces the same sound with each revolution. Anyone had similar?

It's in the bike shop but it's only got 630ks on the clock and had its first service 80ks ago so shouldn't be making these sounds.

1. Check rear axle make sure its greased
2. Remove seat post / clean inside tube / put new carbon-aluminum paste on the seat post
3. Grease the seat post clamp
4. Rear suspension linkage may need some regreasing
5. Motor bolts/bushing need regreasing

First thing I would do is pull the pedals off and take them apart and re-grease them. I’ve had mine apart and they needed a clean up and re-greasing. Next would be pull off the crank arms and clean and re-grease. Maybe rear hub/free hub. My money is on the pedals and crank arms.

Do you use a pressure washer or strong pressure from a hose to wash your bike? I found on my last bike that from washing with a house I damaged the pivot bearings. Now I never spray directly on any bearings. I’ve pulled the dust caps off my pivot and wheel bearings to check to see the condition. Some required grease but none were bad. This was after about 500kms.

Nah just a garden hose on light spray. I've only washed it maybe 3 times when it was super muddy. Normally just wipe it over with a micro fibre cloth to dislodge the dust.

Well there is a lot of assembly issues these days, just look at Fox products. Anyways that’s great they found the issue. Nobody likes annoying noises on their expensive new bike.

First ride on the 2022 Levo Comp Alloy is done. Here are some random observations. As a reference I've been riding a 2013 Stumpjumper FSR 29".

11. My arms are spent. The bike is heavy and I was muscling it around. Assuming I'll do less of that as I get better at letting the bike do the work.

All your observations are very similar to mine.

Regarding the arms, this may be a couple of things.

1) bike reach / position / seating isn't optimal. This will affect your arms greatly as your body is adjusting to remain centered and putting more pressure on your arms. If the riding position is pretty solid you don't have to probably muscle the bike around; it should flow.
2) Relax. Especially downhill. Again if the riding position is descent then relaxing on the ride is easier. Let the legs do the work, not the upper body. Relaxed shoulders and arms; breath.

I was definitely wrestling with the bike initially, as expected. Much more relaxed now after 50+ miles on it and significantly more fluid DH.

After switching to oneup carbon bars there's much less chatter. Also, I moved one of the top two stem spacers to the bottom stack. Figure I need to keep at least one on top. That helped too and I'm much more comfortable. I could always swap the bar clamp for one that angles up too.

I wanted to see if I'd get more or less wheel pop on steep climbs so I rode a very well known section that I wheel pop all the time on the stumpy. Levo stuck to the ground. Good news there.

Maybe the fork is too harsh, too. I removed one spacer to get it softer in the mid-range of travel.

Decided to run the battery down to test the behavior. Well, when it gets to 10% I think the bike is working against me. Harder to pedal? Weird.

I turned the bike off to get home the last 100 yards.

Moral of the story, 10% left isn't 10%

Happy owner of a carbon 2022 levo, i had no problem for 1500 kms.
Then the LBS applied a software update on the bike.

After the update, i've done a ride.
Then go back home, recharge bike.
Ride again the day after.
Tried to recharge.

Impossible to charge !
- green led on the bike didnt turn on.
- green led remains on the charger (red for charging, green when charging done) when plugging, despite battery being depleted (half charge).
- AND the bike doesn't turn on when trying to start it.

I wait for the LBS to recall me and fix dat shit, but i'm really angry.
They don't crash test their firmware update before release, at specialized, or what ?
Considering the price of a turbolevo, i can't believe thay take the risk to 'brick' motors with dumb software release.

I precise that the bike didnt endure any crash ...

I'll appreciate any input to save my ride week (and the bike).

I've read that you can get some debris in around the charge port that could prevent the charger or the bike connection from connecting to the battery correctly. So ensure it's clean in around the seal and the charge port seats properly. It's magnetic too so something could get stuck in there quite easily.

Have you tried pulling the battery to charge it? You could get a much better look at the port with the battery out too.

I have ~450km on my Alloy Comp now and LOVE it. Tried my first bit of DH track yesterday. I need to put in a lot of work.

Pulling the battery will have no effect because once you pull the plug to disconnect from the bike the battery is completely disconnected from the bike. So pulling the battery or leaving it in the bike is identical as it is completely disconnected from the bike. Now I always recommend you pull the battery to clean from a days ride especially if it’s wet as mud does get in it around that area, not the charging port just the area where the battery meets the bike.

I was just thinking it'd be a little easier to inspect the charge port for debris with the battery out of the bike. Instead of getting down on the hands and knees and moaning and groaning as I tend to do too much of these days.

I've tried to charge with and without 3 extenders, on 3 differents electric lines.
Nothing changed.

suddenly, a few hours after, the TCU self re-activated. The bike accepted to charge (green leds near charging port poped again).
SO i decided to go for a ride.

Went back home, waited a few hours.
Tried to charge again : didnt work again.
Tried to start bike : TCU remained dark.

Again, waited a few hours and BAM, without doin anything, bike works again (TCU on / off and charging port).

Smell like things wont go better soon ...

Have you tried to do the same think without braking? Sounds like some grease on your brakepad. Please try it with activating brake lever, just to be sure.

Bonus: my ride this afternoon: The bulky spot in red, it's me.

Yeah I did but was the same deal.

The bike shop regreased all pivots bolts and the squeaking was still there. Eventually they dropped the motor and redid all the motor bolts and the noise was gone.

Comp Alloy model still have the basic TCU. As owner of this model I can confirm that Blevo smart power, I use, works perfectly. (y)

Is anybody running a DVO Jade coil shock on their Gen 3 levo Not the jade x but the original ‘dh’ coil version with the larger reservoir.

i dont know if it its one of the recommended coil shocks, ie with a strong enough shaft to withstand the lateral loads….?

I also run a cascade link so will be buying the 230x65. Ta

You may also use the Heart Rate to control your support via Mission Control - From Specialized:

You can add a Bluetooth heart rate belt/strap to monitor your heart rate.
You can set your turbo support to maintain a chosen heart rate.
