Is it beneficial to fit a Fox 38 fork to a Levo Comp Alloy with a Float X rear shock?
I'm quite happy with the Float X and have no desire to switch to the more problematic Float X2.
Also, don't really have any issues with the 36 Rhythm on the bike.
Simply tempted with a Fox 38 swap out of boardom I suppose 🙃.
I did that from new with mine, I am very happy with how it rides, I also went the 170mm factory 38's

I also have the 38's on my enduro so wanted the same front end that I was happy with.

I set mine up in the low flip chip and middle slack setting, due to the extra 10mm of travel the middle setting is like the slack setting. it rides better than I had dreamed of

I was on the Fox website and filled out the online form. I received an auto email and a day later I received another email from a tech letting me know that they are just going to replace it with the 2024. Fill out the form instead of just sending an email if you haven't done that yet. The difference between the 2021(?) that came with my 2022 Turbo Levo and the 2024 is night and day.
A 2024 or 2023? I just ordered the redesigned 2023 first I've heard about a 2024..

Thanks for your response.
I'm warming up to the idea of picking up a newish Fox 38 take-off while continuing to ride on the Rhythm, then swap it in at the service interval.
Your signature states a 2022 Levo Expert which already comes with a 38PE. Are you saying that you swapped it for a Factory? In that case, do you still have the OE fork that you would be willing to part with? :)

I removed the personal information but this is the slip that came with the shock.

I am in Australia....

Mine came wit the 36 rhythm that I have in the 38 box and brand new, I think I will put it back on when I sell the bike and move the 38 onto my next bike or swap my 38 rhythm on my enduro to the factory

How has your experience been with the 38 Rhythm? And how does it compare to the 38 Factory?

I have been happy with it, it does feel basic for lack of better word. the factory seems to track the ground better and softer. It could also be the heavier bike. My enduro is 14ish kgms and ebike 24kgms so the extra bike weight would be giving it a softer feel. either way both great.

the differences i feel are in the small hits, in the big hits they both feel the same

Hi,
Maybe I misinterpreted your question here but I'm pretty sure the Rhythm fork does not come in a 38mm version. All Levo Comp's with Rhythm 36's.

It is very straightforward process to upgrade the Rhythm 36 with a Grip2 damper ($350US) and achieve the same level tuning as the Performance Elite. The only real difference would then be the lack of bleeder valves (which can also be added) and the 6000 alloy vs 7000 which wouldn't matter that much on an EMTB.

Now, if a person really wants the stability of 38mm stanchions then you need to go Fox 38 (or Zeb).

No, you didn't misinterpret my question.
We were actually discussing how a Fox 38 Rhythm compared to a Fox 38 Factory.
There actually is a Fox 38 Rhythm! @brentonb has both Rhythm and Factory versions of the Fox 38 and was describing his take on how those 2 compared in real life.

Oh, that's interesting thanks for clarification. I guess that could be an interesting comparison. However, since Fox only sells Rhythm via OEM bike sales it will be pretty hard to acquire one for yourself though...there is actually one for sale on PB for $500 right now. Not sure I'd go that route at that price since Fox 38's with Grip2 Damper can be had for about that price or a bit more. Performance Elite is the sweet spot. All the same construction sans Kashima coating.

I could also be wrong, my enduro has the basic fox 38 and I assumed it was called rhythm as it was the same style of fork that come on my levo in a 36 that replaced with a factory 38

There is a Fox 38 Rhythm listed on the Fox website. Also, as @BruceJR pointed out, there is one for sale on pinkbike.
Also, the logo should clearly say Rhythm along the bottom.

New full fat bike is imminent! All I have it that it is close and it runs a new motor. Could be the new Kenevo or maybe a new Levo. My preference for bikes is full fat with long travel and I've been told I'm going to like it....take from that what you will! Exciting times. Hopefully the new motor at least equals the Bosch in terms of drive ability and torque and is as quiet as the Brose.

Any suggestions on how to remove excess cable slack for the E-remote? Can it be pushed back into the frame without causing any issues?
All Specialized web photos show the cable nicely running a long the dropper remote cable but on my Comp Alloy there is quite a bit of excess length.

TIA

You can push it back into the frame but it eventually works its way back out, it has a lot of excess cable. Mine was super dangly after swapping to the AXS dropper since there’s no cable to clip it to. I bought the one-up e-bike bars but the cable won’t fit without drilling the hole on the bars out bigger which I wasn’t going to do. I’m going to swap it to the right side like on the S-Works bikes and clip it to my rear brake hose so maybe it will stay put that way. I honestly would like to just remove it altogether but not sure if I can or not.

I attached a cable/zip tie to mine where I’d like it to stay in the frame, and then cut the excess tie to an inch or so and fed it back into the frame.

It stays put now. 👍

Thank you for this.
It looks like a Performance series X2. May I ask which model of Levo do you have?
It's my understanding that the Expert hand Performance Elite, and the Pro & S-works came with the Factory version.

Bike developed a fault while in Innerleithen on Tuesday probably realised that it was about to be thrashed at the golfie haha
got it going again but it’s back at shop today to get problem sorted plus first service (wasn’t gonna bother but as it’s there)
Wiggling power cable got it back on so don’t know what’s happening
Plus snapped of the charging door last night ffs 🤦‍♂️ but replacing under warranty so all good with nea version
vid of error code if anyone knows what’s happening. Looked at error code guide but not sure

seems can’t add videos only photos?

The expert has the Performance Elite, the Pro/S-Works have the factory version. Only difference between the 2 is the kashima coating on the factory version, everything else is exactly the same.
