I did a motor battery tcu swap between LSL2 and KSL
Going to be all these new forum members asking why their Levo sl2 is so noisy and slow
This seems to be happening quite a lot... Has the KSL taken over from Santa Cruz as the dentist's weapon of choice?
Are you saying that you installed the new 1.2 50 Nm motor in the Kenevo SL?
Yup, swapped the motor, tcu and battery from levo SL 2 to KSLAre you saying that you installed the new 1.2 50 Nm motor in the Kenevo SL?
Nice. Do you notice much of a difference - e.g., handling? Is the power noticeable?Yup, swapped the motor, tcu and battery from levo SL 2 to KSL
power and torque is noticeably more, especially at lower cadences (<80). Sound is a bit quieter but a different, less obtrusive pitch. Range is a bit worse. Handling no change as weight and motor position the same.Nice. Do you notice much of a difference - e.g., handling? Is the power noticeable?
Seems like a lot of expense and fuss for a bike that is primarily designed to go downhillpower and torque is noticeably more, especially at lower cadences (<80). Even more so for the KSL as you need to get to the top of big Mountains faster.Seems like a lot of expense and fuss for a bike that is primarily designed to go downhill

If the motor is still making a noise when you're going downhill you need to git gud.
Thanks. I'd like to do this, also. Except, I just want to buy the new motor, not the entire new Levo bike. Do you know if they are selling just the new SL 1.2 motor?power and torque is noticeably more, especially at lower cadences (<80). Sound is a bit quieter but a different, less obtrusive pitch. No. It's also unlikely in the shorter term that they will. There's several threads about this if you search/read for 1.2 or Mahle 1.2 or just read back any of the threads you have been reading a few pages.Thanks. I'd like to do this, also. Thanks. I also have a small Specialized dealer not too far from my house. I haven't been in there in a couple of months. Maybe I'll go talk to him. I'd probably keep my Kenevo SL if I could put the new motor in it. I put my Kenevo SL up for sale yesterday.No. It's also unlikely in the shorter term that they will. I also have a Kenevo SL with a 1.2 engine, I bought the 165mm cranks which are the ones that come standard on the Kenevo.

Did you buy it with the 1.2 motor already in it? Or did you buy the 1.2 motor and then install it to the Kenevo?I also have a Kenevo SL with a 1.2 engine...
I bought a new levo sl and put the engine in the kenevo (I only put the motor in. I have left the battery and TCU the same as the kenevo sl)Did you buy it with the 1.2 motor already in it? Or did you buy the 1.2 motor and then install it to the Kenevo?
Thanks. Seems that is what guys are doing. I'd like to just buy the new 1.2 motor to put in my Kenevo SL.I bought a new levo sl and put the engine in the kenevo (I only put the motor in. I have left the battery and TCU the same as the kenevo sl)
And I'd like a double date with Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Aniston...I'd like to just buy the new 1.2 motor
And I'd like a double date with Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Aniston...
I always saw you more with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley ... Hopefully @Dax can put me right ..I went with age appropriate, who would you suggest?
C'mon you're too old for thatAnd I'd like a double date with Kate Beckinsale and Jennifer Aniston...
I think this shows the kenevo sl with the 1.2 motor is going to sell well. Be cheaper to buy the new one than buy a levo sl strip it then sell it as a duffy 1.1sl surely? unless you keep the levo sl 2 with the old motor? I cant see anyone wanting to buy a new levo sl with a old motor and battery etc in.
Y'all want full fat power with SL weight. We'll get there but not anytime soon.
