Will going back to an older app make bike go back to older firmware?

Had same prob with mine, seems to be one of the plugs by the motor gets a bit of moisture inside. After paying labour costs to fix under warranty I've ordered a spider socket so I can get to plugs myself and seal the all with liquid tape.

Firmware can be from app when available, when connecting to bike, app will want to update bike if there is new firmware.

Yep, and 2 year warranty vs Giant 1year warranty and soft coating that wears out very fast.

Giant is rubbish with tech updates it seems, had same trouble with my s10 ph, app connects fine on old Nexus tablet, if you have access to older ph or tablet give that a try, be wary about any firmware updates if app suggests too, 2020 bikes are loosing auto power mode function from last...

Maestro thru bolt is prob the biggest flaw in design on the Giant, would love to have a longer dropper on my med, 120 is too short for me as I have to move post up and down depending on where I'm riding, I put on a quick release post clamp so I'm not looking for an allen key when riding.

All the newer stuff seems to be 32kph now, mates bosch gen 4 on his Rail is 32kph.
