Ahh I wish you'd posted earlier haha, took the bike back to shop yesterday, its the only one within 200kms, if I'd known there was a plug at the top end I'dve done it myself. I thought it ran to motor.
Even getting the batt spacer put in the shop said they had to drop motor which I know isn't...
Have had mine in lbs and they dropped motor and cleaned and dried plugs, no new controller, worked fine, didn't wash it and then my shock puked its oil all over the motor so had back at lbs for shock warranty........got it home after 1st ride on new shock and gave it a very gentle wash without...
Taken from Evo cycles for Yamaha Praxxis cranks......useful to know.
Anything ebike with isis spindle may work, not much in NZ it seems, Sram do some....search ex1 isis on Trademe.
I think you're right lol.....just gets frustrating not be able to have confidence in something.........my new bars did turn up, just have nothing to put them on ?
Yeah I get that, just the straw that broke the camels back with this bike...
Shock is set at 190psi, 25-30% sag, middle lockout position......was only riding a transfer trail at the time.....something snapped inside, it became an air filled pogo stick after that....not a fun ride back out haha...
Yet another warranty claim for the dreaded Trance.....part way into my ride the shock made a very loud crack and spewed all its oil out from behind the reb adjuster, the lock out switch is now loose and not connected........with only a month of it's 12mth warranty left it's time to get rid I...
Mines off to shop today, was getting shim done due to the sudden off prob, rode in rain yesterday and now cant turn bike off....Giant NZ warranty is parts only and have to be fitted by authorized dealers....labour costs on on me....not a happy camper.....I did buy bike out of town which isn't...
Got caught in the rain today, charged it after ride and now doing exactly as you've described....was going to shop tomorrow to get batt shim done (at my cost....thanks Giant warranty ?).....now I'll have to get controller sorted too....getting sick of this bike fast ?
Thanks for that pdf, am sorting the spacer under warranty and shop is saying they have to drop motor to fit and the labour cost isn't covered under warranty as stated in the Owners manual......kind of annoyed that any costs come from a warranty claim that is manufacturer fault and that spacer...
Sounds like the storage charge mode was on, was the light on the charger orange? Did you accidentally push the button on the charger to activate storage charge?
My lower shock mount bolt was becoming loose after rides and giving slight movement when lifting bike......after several times torquing I just used some blue loctite....prob solved!
Just wondering if anyone knows if using the 60% storage mode on the smart charger drains battery down to 60% if fully charged? Manual doesn't say much, light on storage mode button is orange at moment, batt is at 97%, won't get a chance to drain it before going away.
Had the exact same thoughts when I tried it, Yamaha motor is like a diesel with no top end.....once past the 32km limit even with assistance it felt like torque dropped off.
Mate has a Scott with a box and its very different in that it keeps making power the harder you pedal.
