Trance set post length on Medium frame

So I have an Trance sx e+0 and it have a standard Giant 120mm dropper in a medium frame. Because of the bolt that goes through the frame for the rear suspension the post does not slide in to the frame completely (about 20mm from the top). So when I am on the really really steep stuff it is a bit in the way. I have looked around and the only post I can see that has a shorter bottom half is the Yoke Revive 125mm. It is about 20mm sorter on the lower half and 5mm longer on the top half) Though at this point I am not worried about the top part so much.

So my question, does anyone have a seat post that slides in to the frame as far as it can and not get stopped by the frame restrictions ? I have looked but may be I have missed one ?

OneUp is supposed to have one of the shortest post+stack available.

I've got one of the OneUp droppers, but not installed it yet, as the gaint oem dropper keeps working reasonably well.

Thanks for this, i will take a look now and see what the OneUp dropper lengths are like.

OK so just looked and the 120mm is 207mm so about 20 to 25 shorter than the current Giant post. So yes it would be much better. For a moment I was hoping the 150mm would work as that would be a better suited length. But at least this give me options. I may be planning a trip to Les Arc in August so a dropper that is right out of the way will be better than a 150mm for climbing as there will be no need for that.

Maestro thru bolt is prob the biggest flaw in design on the Giant, would love to have a longer dropper on my med, 120 is too short for me as I have to move post up and down depending on where I'm riding, I put on a quick release post clamp so I'm not looking for an allen key when riding.

Yes, but dam the maestro is so good! Of the various bikes I get to ride from time to time, the Trance has head and shoulders better rear suspension in my opinion.

Here is the thread I thought I found earlier. There is an explanation of the cable routing problems and some minor improvement techniques.

I did manage to reroute the cable on an OEM Gaint dropper, to get it a little lower on a medium, though it's not exactly slammed when all the way down.

Yep it does work well, I had my cable routed in front of the thru bolt from factory which is really bad when having post right down, causes a bad kink and poor cable operation.
I have wondered if Giant had tried welding nuts to upright for rocker but prob isn't strong enough compared with the thru bolt.
A slammed 150mm dropper on the med would be ideal as I'm hitting my forward leg in really tight turns when pushing bike down into turns.
