I'm really confused by this, the float x that came on my cube already has the low speed compression knob, but the same float x that came on my friends specialised levo just has a black blanking off cap?

Does this mean he can take the black cap off, replacing it with the blue knob and get some low speed compression?
If so why do they blank it off at all?
Yes, he can, here are the instructions from fox:

The debated part is how much these clicks of lsc are gonna really affect the suspension. I haven’t been able to ride yet as I have been recovering from knee surgery (acl, very popular this year unfortunately..)

Bought a little USB rechargeable pump, seems really good. Comes with a little frame bag to attach it to your bike.

Will inflate 7 and a bit mountain bike tyres (29 x 2.4) from flat to 20psi on a single charge, will go up to 150psi pressure (apparently, I haven't tested it that high as I run my tyres at 20psj)

Any good, I have been looking at this for a while myself to keep in the car for when we get to the trails etc

Yep it seems really good. I have my tyres at 20psi, and it'll fill one from flat to 20psi in just under 2 minutes. That's for a 29 x 2.4 mtb tyre.

It'll do this 7 and a bit times before the battery is flat.

It's very small and light at ~350g, and for me it's replaced my hand pump. It comes with a little frame bag to strap it to your frame, so I've put the pump, some tyre anchovies, and an anchovy tool inside a zip lock freezer bag (to keep water out) and then put all that in the frame bag that the pump comes with and strapped it to the underside of the top tube.

You got most of them (y)

Full list goes Manitou mezzer pro 29, hope Fortus 30 pro5, Maxxis DHF max terra (have a DHR once the Betty is done) Nukeproof horizon pro flats, Nukeproof E-mtb headset and spacers, DMR Defy 50 stem, Sqlab 30X 16° handlebars, Sqlab 602 active 2.1 saddle, ESI grips extra chunky. Think that's it for a minute ;)

Pretty happy with how it's riding and looking, thought I'd miss the kashima but liking the all black too 👌

A Ratio Technology mech cage for my AXS mech that's not shifting well.

View attachment 142508
You’ll have to report back as mine is a bit off with shifting
feels like when a cable stretched and changed 2 gears instead of one ect

got it better with microshift yesterday and was okish today. Won’t shift into 12 gear but does when it’s in the bike stand but not when riding

A SWAT tool, it’s remarkably convenient. I use it way more than expected – mostly to swap wheels, Roadie vs. MTB – but also for fine tuning as it’s a new bike and I’m still getting everything dialed just so (bar rotation, brake & shifter positions, etc.)

@Tyjay I've got a new mech hanger as well and probably should have tried that first but, well, you know, bling... :ROFLMAO:

maybe but bling makes it better right, right? 😝

iv got a mech alignment tool and my mech is straight so I ruled that out first
it not dropping 12 gear is an obsession atm

A Shimano RT-EM910 (203mm rear brake disc)
A Shimano CN-M8100 (12s XT 126 link chain)
A set of Shimano disc brake pads NO3A (finned, resin)

Fitting them is what I'll be doing today! :)
I know you all read the same stuff, so I won't post the same in "What did you do to your bike today?"
How much cooling does the finned pads make?

How much cooling does the finned pads make?
They came with the bike and I don't believe that I ride steep enough stuff on long enough descents to make a noticeable difference. I have a link to a thread that gives user feedback (at the end).

The consensus appears to be that the best and most noticeable difference is not when braking (although it must have an effect) but when the brakes are released, the pads and discs cool down much more rapidly.

Shimano claim that on long steep descents, the braking interface is considerably cooler. From memory (so don't quote me) we are talking 350degC instead of 400degC. It may be considerably hotter because we have seen photos of discs that glow red. That 50degC may be the difference that stops your brake fluid from boiling. As I said, I don't do those sorts of descents, so there is nothing for me to worry about.

I want to maintain the spec of the bike, which is why I stuck with the Ice-Tech kit.

I once had Shimano brakes with cooling fins but the pads are way more expensive than the same pads without cooling so I used non cooling fins.
