Does not make sense to me. The IOT is wireless internet connectivity. I can't see any reason to use that rather than bluetooth, like everyone else does. Why have a bluetooth compatible display if you don't intend to write an app to use it?

Good point! I thought bluetooth compatibility filled this role for app connectivity? Confusing to me too!😵‍💫

This post indicates that he used it to connect to his M510.

This was to use the BESST tool. Need Bafang permission to access their windows program. They give consumer password or dealer depending on who you are.

I still think from the other thread it is the version of bluetooth in the display. Some have 5.0 and some 5.1 and we can't tell which is which. I would guess Bafang upgraded to 5.1, uses some feature of it in their app and is still clearing out old units with 5.0 using the same part number.

Nothing they publish is very clear but the IOT press release seems to indicate that IOT simply adds 4G to the connectivity methods available for Go+
"
IOT: Small. Smart. Connective.
The IOT housing itself is small and versatile; product dimensions are flexible according to the
manufacturer's frame specifications. When suitably aligned, a rider can personalize and
continuously synchronize various parameters of their eBike via the Bafang Go+ app/Bluetooth
(nano sim card (4G) but also 2/3G compatible)."

Watts
With power meter and heart rate you’re golden.
I just did watts and cadence on the streets near my house. Both seem to function as designed. 👍

I did get up to 600 W as a max in boost mode lowest gear 34T/11T. So, it's a little easier to tune with the BESST tool and future Bafang Go+ app.🤞

Oh, it’s motor output not peddling power like a cycling power meter, well that’s useless.

I want to know my performance not the electric motors.
[/QUOTE]
I know it's not a true power meter crankset,

I guess you can convert old school:
Power output = Watts x time (duration)?
