I remember seeing this on one of the facebook groups, I couldn't find any previous posts about the bike or battery from the user but I believe this was because they deleted them. They didn't want to give much information out when it happened irrc, people were asking about the battery but due to the watt hours it had to have been a soft mount - diy solution. I actually just recently went looking for it again but couldn't find it due to FB's search function. I too would like a link if you have oneThese packs not looks safe unfortunately. It's like the Bafang Go+ app is very elusive. No one seems to been able to get it working and I've scoured the internet for info to no avail. Has anyone ever asked Bafang directly what's up with this app and what hardware it works with? Does anyone have a contact with Bafang or a reseller that may be able to provide this insight?Anybody get a DP245.can with bluetooth 5.1 that works with the Bafang GO+ app?
I found this review of a Frey bike using a m510. Says Go+ works with a C245 using bluetooth 5.0 Frey Evolve Review with Bafang M510 Mid-Drive Motor! It's like the Bafang Go+ app is very elusive. shows how there is so much contradictory information on this. Guess we need someone to physically try it or get someone directly from Bafang to confirm the exact requirements. I'm hoping this app will work, as I don't really want to invest in a Besst tool if I don't have toI found a thread that notes the Go+ only works with the version of the 245 that is bluetooth 5.1 vs bluetooth 5.0
For me it is all about managing expectations. SZZS had my frames painted and ready to go 4 months ago. But there are a lot of aspects that are out of their control. First there are festivals and shows that take them away from the shop. There have been delays in getting M820 and batteries. Then shipping by boat is not like fedex air. The shipment now has to go by DG dangerous cargo ship. If they don't have full containers they may wait to fill them up before they leave. Might have bad weather on the way delaying arrival. Then you have to wait for customs. To the folks that have gone through the ordering and build process, can you make any recommendations/is there something that you would do differently?
Cheers.
Is there any wy to determine whether it is the version with buetooth 5.0 or 5.1, they have the same part number?
I don't know.Is there any wy to determine whether it is the version with buetooth 5.0 or 5.1, they have the same part number?
around $150How much does the best tool cost?
It is really not the cost, you can't use it unless you have an account with Bafang. Designed for retailers. There are work around scripts out there ecetera but you don't get a password or account when you buy one.How much does the best tool cost?
Judas Priest and I thought Shimano was bad with their software. It is really not the cost, you can't use it unless you have an account with Bafang. Designed for retailers. There are work around scripts out there ecetera but you don't get a password or account when you buy one.
There is the K1 which is a third party effort. It does not require passwords etc but it is a text based device that reads a configuration file when it boots up and sends commands to change whatever you have in the file, upon booting.
But to be a modern player Bafang has to step up and get an app running that does all this via bluetooth. Ridiculous if some of the DPC245.can with work, that have Bt 5.1 , and some won't and you can't tell which one you have and they both have the same part number. So you can't even buy one purposefully.

Hey @TCFlowClyde was this ride report done with stock OOTB tuning? No BESST tuning?Today was the "hour of power" in decent heat! 97+F°

I went full boost-mode in rolling hills terrain with 65% flowy climb and a smooth, bermed downhill ripper 35%.
Just 53 minutes of 9.2 miles in all turbo to stress test the M820-75Nm performance tolerance during fairly hot conditions. I had 82% battery remaining.

I didn't notice any power drop-off!
Personally, I like to climb as an ex- analoger, so I've never been a huge fan of powering up switchbacks moto-style, especially in dealing with strong motor overrun and the drivetrain abuse potential.
The M820 had a little overrun in Boost mode, but it's minimal and can be used smoothly and predictably when climbing most tech. So, it yields a pedal-bike-feel still without being crazy like full-powered or wimpy like lower-to-mid powered motors. IMHO

Next ride is in the morning for cooler temps and on a fairly steep switchback-oriented mountain climb. This should really put it to the test for my typical riding terrain, and hopefully provide more testimonial feedback!
Yes. That Frey review seems more like a marketing and press release. It's unclear if they actually used the app.I found this review of a Frey bike using a m510. Says Go+ works with a C245 using bluetooth 5.0 Frey Evolve Review with Bafang M510 Mid-Drive Motor!
I use the stock tuning...seems gradual and significant at each level for the M820 using the DPC245 display.Hey @TCFlowClyde was this ride report done with stock OOTB tuning? No BESST tuning?
I'm just trying to gauge motor feel and response.
Not much for me. Stock seems good enough. How crucial is tuning from the stock setup?
Ha. I didn't read your's before I made my "...step-up your game for the app!" comment. It is really not the cost, you can't use it unless you have an account with Bafang. Designed for retailers. There are work around scripts out there ecetera but you don't get a password or account when you buy one.

Too true. Bafang go forth into the 21st century with your app. Ditch the 1980s BESST Atari-console-vibe. (No offense to Atari!).
