Plan is to order the Zeb Ultimate 29“ 180, the Vivid Coil ((Super Deluxe is not available in 216 x 63) or the Vivid Air, from wherever available at best price in Germany. Offset Bushings directly from offsetbushings.com in GB, link was provided by Rob in the build thread. I ordered bushings before there, with no issues. Completing with XT 1x11 drivetrain, 34 chainring and 11-46 cassette. MT 7 brakes, Bikeyoke Seatpost, Handbuild Wheels, Schwalbe Big Betty and Magic Mary 2.6, tubeless. Cant wait to start!

I like your parts list!! There's a new US vendor with much faster shipping time, about a week or so.
It offers a Trek Rail type kit for $2295, link is below. Let me know what you think.

I think that could be the same frame as this one:
Neues Lightcarbon Enduro Vollgefedertes Ebike Frameset Für Den Bafang Motor Lieferanten,Hersteller,Fabriken
I'm just amazed about the BaFang mount on the trek. Usually they use Bosch motors ?

Well mine is ordered, I've gone large and plain matt black as I want it to look stealth so it doesn't get nicked if I ever leave it anywhere.

Shipping date I was given is end of April, I think Dengfu is having a bit of a surge due to this forum!

Never had a carbon frame, but the Giant Trance I had was fitted with a carbon rocker (which cracked) so this is really new ground for me.

Fortunately loads of spare bits and bobs from previous bikes, so all I really need is the shock hardware and maybe a wider front tyre.

So far I've got:

- 210x55 Rockshox Deluxe (on the way)
- Manitou Mattoc Pro (from another project that didn't work out!)
- Obligatory wide handlebars (raceface)
- El Guapo Stem
- Clark M4 brakes (bargain basement I know, but they ain't too bad for the price and 4 pot)
- Magic Mary Bike Park Tyres
- Wheels (not sure about rear, but front has a DMR hub and is quite wide)
- Shimano XT 10x Setup (with clutch derailleur)
- Some random flat pedals (black plastic type things, with bolts in for grip)
- Ugly mudguards (mudhugger rear and the injection molded crud catcher)
- DMR deathgrip bar grips
- Rockshox Reverb internal (maybe need a new hydro cable for it depending on length)

What I'll need:

- rear stay protection (any suggestions?)
- shock mounting hardware
- shorter crank arms (maybe)
I've been bitten a few times with pedal strike before so I may order the shorter 150mm bafang cranks from luna (LUNA X1 Enduro Short Crank Arms).

Future upgrades:
- Tyres probably, been using the MMs on a much heavier bike, probably better options for this.
- Thinking about the box 9 speed setup for the wider range and longevity
- Piggyback battery extender (I'll build that myself as I've got a nice arduino based spot welder that works quite well)

Going to be a long wait though!

Hm, all parts here, only frame & motor are missing to start. And also offset bushings, but i expect them this week :)

PS: for builders -> situation on sale market with parts is becoming more and more problematic. Be prepared!

Same here ?. Frame, motor, battery and fork with shock missing due to delivery delay ? (wheels for mullet setup not in the pic but ready)

For me, the Reach Value is way too short. 447.5 mm @ 20“ frame size, at least 40mm too short. Not state of the art, imho.

Finally made the plunge and ordered the E10 frameset kit. I was quoted the following price:

Item DescriptionQuantityUnit price(usd)Amount(usd)
1E10 15.5" in UD matt finish1$799.00$799.00
2headset for E101$14.00$14.00
3rear thru axle for E101$10.00$10.00
4M600 Bafang motor 48V 500W1$650.00$650.00
5Battery 48V 17.5Ah1$350.00$350.00
6postage to Italy including tax prepaid1$470.00$470.00
Total$2,293.00
4.2% extra fee for Paypal $97.00
Amount$2,390.00

Now its parts hunting time!

Can anyone share any of your favourite online bike store that delivers to Italy?

My original idea was to emulate Rob's mullet set up but as my frame is the small frame, I am not sure how that will end up.

Any suggestions on a good suspension set up for my small frame (15.5" frame) with me being 171 cm?

not planning to do any knarly stuff on the bike so maybe a 150mm travel front and back will suffice?

Thanks guys! I hope shipping won't take too long!

Cheers,
Afif

Did you get an estimated delivery time ?

I quote Rob: "Bike-Discount.de - I noticed the price fluctuates a lot. I had time waiting for the frame to get the best prices."
Comparing prices is always needed and you may have to order from multiple-stores.
Two stores : www.bike-discount.de , www.bike24.com .

Unfortunately no. Melody always eluded this question eventhough I asked her in every email.

In the end the answer was, i quote:
"When shipping, I will keep you be informed of tracking number. "

Thats the best I got out of her. Since I only just ordered today and there are plenty of us here waiting for our frame sets I'm guessing mine will probably arrive in early summer?

More time to shop for parts now i guess.

Thanks for the links.

will monitor the prices regularly.

Thanks!

Just information to those who ordered frame&motor set - Dengfu should get new motors (they say the newest one) in next week. So add 3 to 5 weeks for transport and we all can drive mid April. Ordered M600 at last days of January, all parts are waiting in garage.

Best regards from Slovenia,

Bogdan

Bogdan, thanks for sharing! I ordered frame/motor in first week of february. When you did get the frame? Have you contacted melody, or she sent shiping/tracking ID by her own?

No you don't need motor first, it will be installed after all wiring, may be just need to increase length of power supply cable, but that could be done after assembly. I think you do not understand that i whould mean. May be my bad language ? I think you need more help than mine.

Yup between top of motor and inside the frame, through the rear “slot” and then through the swing arm.

Be careful how you route it at the head ( front ) as there’s two cut slots which are sharp and could eventually cut the hose, I ran mine through the slot closest to the point of entry as it gave the least tension against the side of the slot. I had wondered about putting a piece of foam around the hose but the hoses are pretty abrasion resistant so left it to save 1gm of foam ?

if you estimate modification necessary to prevent failure, do it. Personally i have add plastic tape to avoid cut on angle and carbon frictional wear. I will check later and if necessary i will add aditional hose around brake hose and derailleur sheath.

Additional recomendations for E10 builders. In addition of lower base protection, it is absolutly necessary to protect the part showed by red straight. I have add 2nd layer of tape, I have several impact of chain on it

I notice you're running a chain guard/device, looks like it's just bolted to the motor is that correct. I don't suppose you have any CAD drawings for that?

as usual, thank you very much for all your tips and tricks, @patdam !
What do you think of a twisted rubber protection like this for cable and brake housings?

I will try to put some Viton Tube over (cannot say if there is enough space) - head a bad experience with those twisted rubber - it moves/stretched apart and cable/tube can then be damaged

Yeah i know i tried to get an 8x in austria, but it was not in Stock, the same with 10x and 11x and i got the 29er wheelset with the SRAM NX on it so i decided to go for the 12x

Yeah i have had an Kenevon, then the decoy and some downhillers and enduros of course. My decoy was a base with some upgrades it was really sick!
Hi Martin, i am curious about your feedback to know if the bafang motors delivered now will be the upgraded soft- and hardware as Rob mentioned. I have had just conversation with melody and she does not know but as the motors are delivered just now with some delay it might be. Did you already check?

I am from south tyrol so maybe when i get my frameset and motor i could give you a call or message if i am having some problems with assembling ??.

Till now i rode Flyer, Kenevo, now a Rocky Altitudr Powerplay and now it will become a self made Dengfu ??
