I already have an assembly on wheels 27.5 and a fork with a stroke of 160mm. Rear shock absorber 210x55 on the E09 frame, with an M600 motor (a very old version, it is already about 5 years old. The M 510 was still on my Seroxat aluminum frame. The E10 and the M510 motor will arrive soon. Please tell me with wheels 27.5 and a rear shock absorber 210x55 fork with what maximum stroke can I put? According to my measurements, the fork for 29 wheels is 20mm longer than 27.5. Therefore, you can safely put 180mm of stroke with 27.5 mm. Am I thinking right?

You would will build an chopper ? Rights, 29 is +- 2cm more high and i use 29/160 front with 27.5 rear, but i have 216x63 shock to compensate. That keep +- the same angle than same weels and 150 frt/rear

What is the width of the wheels at the front and rear?

A lot off (+- 1m30 wheelbase) with XL frame, but in fact not so troublesome, as the frame is very easy to drive and permisive, on short turn it is easly to rear drift turn (most difficult on destroyed or stoned single)

So if I have a 210x55 ass, then it is more correct to put a 29" fork in front with a 160mm stroke. We have a steering lift in front by 2-3cm, and there is a 27.5 wheel in the back. And what if there are already 27.5x2.8 wheels and a Lyrik 160mm fork for 27.5 wheels? It can increase the stem to 180mm and reduce the fork stroke with spacers.

Is it possible to install Lyric at 180 mm stroke for 27.5" wheels, but install spacers in the fork to reduce the stroke to 160mm? Then we will get a rise of 2cm and a stroke of 160mm.

Believe me, the 19“ frame is already on the bigger side for me. It‘s a hughe bike. At 176 cm, You will not be happy with the 19“ frame. The seattube is 480 mm, I doubt You will get a dropper post installed with more then 125 mm travel. Go for 17“ mate. 😊
Hey I'm a tad over 6ft tall and have a 19" E-10 on order. I'm likely to go with a short stem like you did. But here's my question... You said "I doubt You will get a dropper post installed with more then 125 mm travel". I assume you mean in the 17"?

Put differently, whats the maximum dropper travel for the 19" in your estimation? Other have said up to 200. True?

I‘m 6ft and ride a 19“ E10 as well. My one up dropper with 180 mm travel fits tight.

So the front wheel finally arrived which meant I could finish the build. I wanted to say a massive thanks to @thaeber, @patdam and @Rob Rides EMTB for all their help and advice on the sizing. I did go for the XL in mullet format in the end with the Cane Creek 216x63 coil (-2mm bushing) and it is brilliant. Especially the rear shock, with a few click of LSC to take out the bounce it is a pleasure. Motor does feel on the weedy side, but maybe it is my weight and not the motor that is the issue. Also, it does mean I get some proper exercise.

With the XL frame I am getting a BB of 360 with no pedal strikes and head angle unweighted is 63.4deg. It feels super long when you stand next to it, but at 1.92m tall it is actually just right for me and rides well - really confidence building and with the rear shock in climb mode if sticks to the loose terrain really well. Fork (170mm) View attachment 89279 View attachment 89278 View attachment 89276 View attachment 89275 View attachment 89274 View attachment 89273 still not tuned right and feel a bit jarring but I have only had 1 decent ride so far.....I do wonder whether 160mm might have been enough?

One thing I did notice is that the distance between the rear axle "brackets" is a good 4-5mm wider than the axle meaning when you tighten it the frame "pulls in". Anyone else notice this? Does not seem to affect anything.

Thanks again guys!

This is BEAUTIFUL, may I ask where you got the frame is it a DENGFU E-10, I've never seen a frame painted like that. What brand is this, or did you build it alone? Either WAY, it's beautiful. NO 160 is not enough especially if you weigh over 165, 35-38mm stanchions, if a heavy person 38stanchion with 180mm travel 2023 Zeb, would be killer. I weigh only 150 due to health issues so I will likely upgrade to a Lyric 180mm because my current setup from X2 Ludicrous the front shock just has SO Much travel a Bunny hop will eat up 50% of travel & I have it charged for a 200lb person(Charged to 120lbs) Currently I'm running the 2022 Yari Debonair+ 160mm Travel(can be converted to 180mm travel) but it just seems to travel way too far. My weight with gear is 150.1 should only be 85PSI but in a setup like that, I am using 50% sag on a little push. The bigger the person the bigger the Stanchion they should use & longer the Travel the better, unless sticking to the road only. So depends on how you plan to ride. over 6foot and 190lbs I'd look into the ZEB if you weigh 150-189lb range like me the 180mm LYRIC will do fine. But if you are like me and want max travel for trails. I may go with FOX front suspension, or the LYRIC if they release a 190mm otherwise I will consider the ZEB. MANITOU is also a quality shock. So are some of the DVO shocks out there. Hope this helps ya. Some photos of my bike.

Yes, after seeing some youtube videos I took the plunge.... This was my first paint job and therefore I used rattle cans and plenty of time whilst waiting for front wheel to arrive.. Paint quality would be better the 2nd time for sure!

They are not decals, I masked and sprayed everything..... Thankfully I have a vinyl cutter at home which allowed me to cut my own stencils for spraying...

I totally overthought this, will just take the 17.5" because I will need the reach with my long upper body. Wheelbase will be what it is.
