Great bike! The colour of yours really pops when you see it in person.
I have the Action team and like Bummers says there are a few niggles to check.
It really is a very capable, fun bike to ride.
The things I've had issues with, First on the list is to replace the plastic top tube cap with an...
I don't have a Levo, but it may have been something simple like mud on the wheel sensor. Maybe worth checking battery connections and cabling for damage also.
2024 update
Reviving this older thread to keep all the info in one place.
I've managed to bend the derailleur hanger on my 2022 Stereo Hybrid 160 action team and can't bend it back straight.
It has a Shimano XT derailleur.
Looking for a new one and cube specify the part number as 8651, but...
I click on most videos but tend to skip through a lot of it as they just repeat stuff from previous videos. I think they would be better off going to one or two videos a week instead of a vid every day.
A lot of videos are just premotions for channel sponsors with the presenters being told what...
Going to tackle this over the Christmas break on my Stereo hybrid 160.
Are there any videos for the drive side process? Any tips or things to watch out for?
I have the Parktools crank remover, and hoping the cheap 8 notch castle socket I've got is up to the job.
As above, if you want to stay relatively dry you need waterproof shoes combined with waterproof trousers and gaiters.
You can add in waterproof socks for another level of protection too.
Another thing to note is not all waterproof clothing is the same.
If it's breathable it will have a...
The Bosch cx is a great motor, pretty well refined and with plenty of power. I'm pleased with mine, but one other bike and motor that does intrigue me is the Rocky Mountain Altitude powerplay with the Dyname 4.0 motor.
From what I've seen its a power house but does require more rider input to...
Is this the Leatt amour you currently have?
https://leatt.com/gb/product/body-protector-airflex-22?selected-color=black
If so, I'm not sure if you'd see much benefit going to the Tech v3. It offers a little more flank protection and ups to level 2 hard shell, but I'd imagine they are both very...
While we are on the subject of the clutch, I have a full XT drive train, when I start a ride with the clutch on the drive train is noisy, like chain rub. After 5 minutes it quiets down to normal.
With the clutch off its quieter from the start.
Same when I tried to adjust the mech in the work...
I got hold of some Tuff tape patches in the end.
Applied to both the inside and outside over the ripped area and it seems to have sealed it well.
It says it should last a few cycles through a washing machine before needing to be re-patched but I try to handwash so hopefully should last longer...
I don't have any close up shots but this was straight after installing.
Like I say, I like how the gloss kit changes the matt parts to gloss so the bike looks uniform.
If you want to keep the matt parts it might be worth contacting invisiframe and seeing if they will send you a mixed kit.
Yeah, my post was referring more to a caliper overhaul. You can still apply it to an exposed piston to keep it lubricated, same as you would the silicone, but for best results the seals need to be covered in it.
As a side note...
Red rubber grease maybe a good option then. For motorbike caliper services the seals are covered in it during assembly. It's cheaper and works really well as a lubricant, and keeps rubber seals supple.
The only difference is motorbikes tend to use steel pistons while I believe MTB calipers can...
I've not heard of using silicone on calipers before, are you referring to using it on the pistons only?
The motorbike world uses Castrol red rubber grease to lubricate and protect caliper pistons and seals.
I've been using it on mine for years. I'm not sure if it's suitable for MTB calipers...
The Bionic pro protection jacket you've linked to looks to be the same as the original Bionic action jacket
https://www.alpinestars.com/products/bionic-action-jacket
Which has been superseded by the Bionic action V2...
I've been out with it several times now and can say I'm still very pleased with the purchase.
I've not had the chance to give it a thorough test on longer pedal days yet.
However, I have used it every time I've gone to my local pedal up bike park where I average around 20 miles and can say I've...
