2023 Action Team Invisiframe

I sort of caved to the insane sales on at the moment, and bought a new 140 Action Team (my current bike will be up for sale soon)

One major issue I've had with my current bike is the matt lacquer has come off in big areas, so I want to invisiframe this one as soon as it turns up to try to protect the paintwork

Silly dilemma to have but... ermm half the bike is gloss and half is matt (blue is gloss, grey is matt) and the invisiframe kits are either gloss or matt finish.

So just wondering has anyone invisiframe'd one and do they have pics?

I took it to Shack wrap who will do Matt and gloss where needed.

Sorry that doesn't help your dilemma 😂

I went with gloss Invisiframe, obviously it turns all the matt areas gloss, but I think it looks good.
I'll see if I can dig out some pictures.

I don't have any close up shots but this was straight after installing.
Like I say, I like how the gloss kit changes the matt parts to gloss so the bike looks uniform.

If you want to keep the matt parts it might be worth contacting invisiframe and seeing if they will send you a mixed kit.

Thanks mate!

It does look REALLY nice in all gloss to be fair, I think I'll go with that :D

I should update this in case others ask the same question

Spoke to invisiframe who said if I buy a gloss kit at full price they can send a matt kit for like £30 which is cost price
I opted to go for that

I then put the brand new bike in my living room over christmas - which I have to say looked a lot nicer than a christmas tree!

Then spent many many relaxing hours with a beer in front of the TV marking the frame with tape, laying the invisiframe over, marking that with tape where the gloss/matte line was - cutting both pieces then applying it to the bike

I haven't been out on it as much as I hoped due to shitty weather and changing jobs, but VERY happy with how it turned out.
The gloss bits are gloss, the matte bits are matte, you can't really tell there's anything on it, and you can't see the joins.

And in this weather..... it makes cleaning the bike a LOT easier. I have a battery jet wash, and a battery leaf blower.
The mud just falls off, blow it dry, chuck it in the van (y)

You have far more patience than me😂
I did the gloss and Matt mix as well, but shack wrap in bury did the graft, no way was I attempting it!

Looks like you did a great job though 👍🏻

It was very calming. I quite enjoy that sort of stuff

I spent 3 hours the other night in my office at home just soldering circuit boards lol
