I preferred how it used to be. Push the - button for 5 seconds or so and it went straight into full power walk mode, release the button and it stopped. It was handy as you could use the bike to pull you up over rough terrain.
Having to push the bike forward a few feet to engage walk assist is...
Going from a Newman carbon bar to an alloy spank spike and then back to the Newman carbon bar I could feel a massive difference between the two, with the carbon bars feeling every fibration and causing pins and needles.
I'm now running SQ labs 16 degrees with extra chunky ESIgrips and the pins...
Same, walk mode used to be pretty decent, continuously on and faster, now it's next to useless.
Half the speed and cuts in and out.
Is it a bug or was it designed like that? If so who in their right mind thought it was a good idea!
I've only just heard of this device, seems a potential win for warranty concerned riders.
Has anyone used it with the Bosch smart system? How is it working out, any issues?
Is it not similar to moving the magnet onto the crank arm, which I believe the smart system can detect and puts the...
Congrats on the new arrival Ashley. (y)
Since getting the E-bike I've been doing a bit of winter night trail riding.
After some research I decided to go with torches, I didn't want to splash out on expensive bike specific lights just yet as I'm not sure how much use they will get, and having...
Maybe stating the obvious, but is the star nut installed correctly in the steerer tube and are you getting the correct pre load on the bearings and cups?
If not this would cause your symptoms.
If that's all correct then as said above the next likely thing could be the fitment of the steerer...
What does Bosch state? After a quick search I can't find anything official for the gen 4 motor.
I did find E-thirteen state 30nm, and an official Hope document stating 50nm for a Brose motor.
I think between 30-50nm should be fine, I don't think you need to go full Popeye on them 😆
Err on...
50nm is crazy high for such a small bolt,
I'm much happier with 30nm and a witness mark, rather than risking stripping the bolt and having to drill it out!
No issues with them coming loose last weekend, but they should be checked as part of your regular maintenance.
For the Bosch gen 4 motor I believe the crank bolt should be tightened to 30nm, It maybe similar for the Yamaha but check first.
My Torque wrench only goes up to 25nm so that's what they got, I put a witness mark on them so I can easily check if they are coming loose. I didn't want to...
This could be caused by the phone permissions, Bluetooth settings and power saving settings.
I had issues with my android phone turning off Bluetooth to the kiox after a few minute.
Have a Google for kiox300 phone permissions and you should find something.
These are what I use, they have no stretch so hold everything very securely, I use a small piece of rubber under the buckle to stop it scratching the frame
I have the 50mm X 400mm

Yeah that sounds ideal.
Personally I use two, one at each end of the battery, but it depends on what kind of riding you're doing.
For "light" riding one in the middle or nearer the top should be fine.
If you're doing any sort of "aggressive" riding, jumps, drops etc then I'd definitely use...
Finally got round to this today, not too difficult, took a couple of hours, but I was going slow and fitting new cranks as well.
There was hardly any grease behind the left hand seal.
I used a load of Silkolene Pro RG2, going to evaluate it in a months time to see how it's doing, if I'm not...
Just fitted some Miranda 152 cranks to my cube with a gen 4 Bosch motor.
The 152 came up on sale so I grabbed a pair. Visual quality is okay, certainly nothing to write home about, but about what I'd expect for the price. If they are strong enough to do the job I'll be happy.
Unfortunately the...

Forgot to mention, if charging the battery in the frame, be careful when removing the plug as the port in the frame is another weak point and can easily come out of its housing if the plug is pulled on hard.
Try to hold the port while removing the plug, or better still don't use it at all and...
