I recently picked up some fabric grips and swapped them out for the stock cube ones that come with the bike.
Went out last night but I'm finding that they feel thinner in diameter than the cube grips which I'm not so keen on.
I think I'd prefer a chunkier grip.
So what do people use and...
Just to bring this thread up to date.
I sent SilverFish a message including my video and they agreed the shock needed to be inspected.
Removed the shock from the bike (semi successfully, more on that later) and sent it to them using tracked insured delivery which cost around £9
Shout out to...
Just as a heads up to everyone else
I believe cubebikesale.com is a scam site, stupidly I didn't check the rest of the website, I'm normally much more cautious when ordering stuff, I feel a fool.
Only other place I can find a replacement bolt in stock is bike-discount.de
someone reassure me...
I did think of glueing a hex bit into the bolt but not sure how it would hold up under torque.
I could still do this as well, it's going to be the most Frankenstein bolt ever 😆
A quick fix until the new bolt arrives.
I drilled two blind holes in the bolt and knocked up a rough pin spanner.
Hopefully I can tighten it with the pin spanner and there is just enough bite left in the hex to torque it up.
I wont be using any thread lock but it should only be for a ride or...
Thanks Mike (y)
I believe that's what I've ordered but I'm not sure how long it will take to arrive.
Hoping to get out on the bike asap so was after a quick fix until it comes.
Cheers.
Nice idea, I like it.
As you say for cleaning purposes it's perfect.
I needed something similar and went with the Halfords crossbar as it was a budget friendly option.
It says it's rated up to a maximum 15kg but I suspect that's for use in transit as its a hefty bit of kit and holds up my 25kg...
Hey all,
I needed to remove the shock on my new cube stereo for inspection.
When trying to remove the trunnion bolts I discovered they where extremely tight.
Eventually I managed to get one out and found they are thread locked in, and they made from alloy and not steel.
When trying to remove...
I've got hold of some muc off valves now so will be doing this soon.
What rim tape did you use and how many wraps around the rim did you do.
I've heard it's necessary to do at least 2-3 layers at the valves opening.
A little air leak around the valve and spoke ends should seal up after a time.
I like that, I always seems to get into a wrestling match every time I try to insert the rear wheel.
This might just help me out.
Why have Shimano not started to put a lock out on the hanger like Sram have? seems a much better system.
Google translate says.
It might weigh 0.2 kg, not weighed. The plastic is cheap plastic that doesn't crack even if you pull on a stone. It doesn't make noise either. The aluminum bends on impact, changing its shape, can it resonate? Ground clearance is not a problem 160mm, cranks and 20mm extra...
Doing a bit more testing I'm starting to think it is the shock.
If I fully open the rebound adjuster the knocking gets noticeably quieter when doing the bounce test on the saddle.
I've had my stereo hybrid 160 for just over two weeks now and loving it, It's my first full sus Ebike but being new to them I'm wondering if something is amiss with the amount it rattles.
I've read the Bosch motor can rattle, as can the battery in the frame.
Tonight this video was uploaded...
