    Error codes 500 and 550

I have a Bosch gen 4 with 200 miles on the motor. Turned it on and error 500 appeared (Internal error of drive unit), pressed ok and a few seconds later error 550 popped up (Improper load detected). There's no drive from the motor. Quick search and it sounds like code 500 could be terminal and...

    12v Charging Setup

He wants to avoid using his inverter altogether for more efficiency. I've not seen a 12V Shimano charger so not sure if this is possible yet.

What other 170mm + travel e-bikes are out there.

Another option is Mondraker level. 180/170mm 29". I ride a 2021. It's heavy but feels great on chunky and steep stuff. Only 65deg HA so might not be slack enough for you but I've never felt like I need anything slacker. Annoyingly it looks like the new versions have an integrated battery, so...

What bike for a newbie to MTB

Are you new to riding bikes in general? Do you have decent cardio fitness? Lightweight bike might be ok for you but I'd also look at full fat ebikes, especially if you're looking to put on more weight. Really depends how hard you want to be working or how much climbing/descending you want to...

Most durable drivetrain brand / parts for a 2022 levo - need my third cassette in 8 months and I want to replace the lot with something durable

X01 chain is a massive improvement over gx for wear. I was getting through a gx chain in 200 miles riding in the wet. If you are running 12s are you changing chains at 0.5mm wear? You should get 3 chains to a cassette.

Gearbox EMTB's that you can buy (+IGH bikes)

As zim said really. Removing all the weight of mechs and cassettes from rear wheels to be replaced with a hub gearbox isn't really a step forward. Get all that weight low and central on the bike, they will handle so much better for it!

    Pole Voima 190mm Travel EMTB

Vids of it being ridden downhill would be nice (y) we have a thread for people to post their rideouts https://www.emtbforums.com/threads/lets-see-your-ride-footage.2252/

Help, how much power to charge my ebikes in a camper.

Pretty much as above. How many times will you need to charge each battery off grid? Assuming you take both batteries fully charged with you and charge them both once from your leisure battery 2 get two days riding before EHU, thats only 1200Wh (+ loses of 15-20%) = 1440Wh (110Ah @ 13.2V). This...

    Pole Voima 190mm Travel EMTB

It doesn't matter what type of ride it is. I do 2 battery park lap days all the time and it's a long time in the saddle.

    Pole Voima 190mm Travel EMTB

I think it's just the seat tube angle / short cranks that puts me off. My knees hurt just looking at it, can't imagine pedalling it on a big ride. The bike looks slightly less ugly the more I look at it though!

    Bike parks

Too many to list but my favourites in UK are Dyfi, Revolution (RIP), Dirt Farm, Innerleithen, bike park wales. Only just seen Dirt Farm have added e-bikes, £25 for the day. I don't think it's actually that bad when a normal bike is £16. You get so much more riding in and it's faster than...

Levo Gen 3 Turbo Levo Cassette Damage - Pretty Disappointed

Hopefully warranty replace it for you. I did the same to a GX cassette (normal bike).

    Kiox button not working?

If you are looking at the power button there is a very small gap below and to the left, just enough for tiny bits of grit to get in to. I brushed the grit out but didn't try lift the rubber cover. Mine stopped the button clicking though so it might not be the same issue.

    Kiox button not working?

Does the button feel any different to normal? You should be able to feel a bit of a click when pressed. There's a gap below the buttons and dirt can get in. I had this happen once and managed to clean it out with an old toothbrush that solved it.

    Carbon Wheel Failure!!! 😲😟😭

That's a hole in the rim with the small rock through it isn't it? If so replace the rim. When carbon rims break they can go in a big way and I wouldn't want to be riding it.

You've got a "Cheap Fork" - Okay... time to upgrade? - Riser bar??

Slightly more reach and more weight on the hands / front wheel. Not always a bad thing though, see how she finds it. You can get a high rise bar if the front end feels too low or she's not comfortable.

Hope Pro 4/5 ebike version vs standard

Hope pro 5's have only been available for a month? Personally I'd get the ebike version, you have more pawls engaged so should be more durable

Lines on new fork (Zeb) stanchions. Is it normal?

If you used paypal you should be able to return through them, and shouldn't have to pay any returns postage cost for a faulty item.

    Maxx-D or Six-Pack ?

Do you really need a flashing light? 2100 lumens can be seen from miles away, I don't think a flashing light adds anything for your visibility
