DH finally returns this weekend at Lenzerheide!!
For anyone interested in subscribing, there's a 15% off code for one year (£33.99 in the UK) here:https://welcome.globalcyclingnetwork.com/lanternerouge
It says the code expired on 31.05 but I've just used it and it's all gone through.
You can...
@Bearing Man thanks for writing that. The info you have is really valuable to us as the end users and I think with the help of @Rob Rides EMTB (maybe in the form of a YT interview?) could put some weight on motor manufacturers to improve their processes and maintainability.
Ebikes shouldn't be...
I think the main difference is you don't see many posts of Trek/Specialized bikes breaking and them saying it's been ridden beyond it's capabilities and it's not their problem
Enduro races do often include DH/bike park tracks, so you would expect it should handle that.
The Spectral:ON is in the same 4E category

I've had friends break chainstays on the Strive...
Canyon make some really nice looking bikes. There's been a few stories of them being poor with warranty and rejecting what looks like manufacturing issues, usually saying that the bikes have been ridden on bigger stuff than what they are designed for.
The Strive:ON mentions that it should only...
I thought you were haha. The only difference is the end plates, I have horizontal in mine:
You could just sell me the battery and motor. You could still have a great bike with storage for baguettes and wine :D
That's a really good deal for the bike! Do you know if it's a horizontal or vertical battery?
Ideally I need to buy one with a warranty though, knowing how fast I seem to go through them...
I can't remember the first two but the last one was just after a wet ride. I saw an error 500 come up on one of the last trails but it kept going. After I got it home it would give me errors 500 and 550 on startup and would just shut down.
I remember the first motor wouldn't connect up to Bosch...
I'm on my 4th Bosch gen 4 (non smart) motor now. All replaced under warranty.
I ride in all weather but don't let the motor get dunked, and I'm careful washing it.
I still think it's water getting in the motor somehow.
I've bought the Bosch grease so I'm going to pull the crank seals off and...
The motor itself isn't that old but the bike is. Bosch did have a 2 year rolling warranty when I bought the bike but I don't think that's a thing anymore.
I've had the motor replaced 2 times outside of the original 2 years
If you are talking about Morzine area then Ebikes are fine to put on the lifts.
You can ride up the VTT's but I would just be wary of people coming down and try to move out of their way. You might actually have priority but if it was me I'd rather let those descending keep their flow.
Get one of the pots that sits on top of the lever and do a gravity bleed without syringes, I've always found this does a better job than the bleed kits to get all of the air out. You could also take a bit of length off the front hose while your at it if you're bothered.
Bike looks very nice!
I like that!
Smaller battery should make things a bit more playful at the cost of range.
This would probably suit me as I'd want a second battery anyway.
That's poor, hopefully your Bosch rep comes to their senses and replaces the motor for a new one!
I've only had good things from Bosch warranty personally. Dead motor (9 months out of warranty), report went to the Bosch rep on Friday. New motor arrived today (Monday) and I'm just about to head...
It's hard to tell from the photo's if that's paint defect or not. Orbea have clearcoats/candy colours that show up the carbon layup. From the Rise's I've seen in person I've always thought it looked nice and is what Orbea intended it to look like. The bolt holes and half rounded bolts do look...
