The chainstay position isn't a great design. I'd contact Canyon with pics of the damage and ask them to send out spares since you will be going through these quite often. The only other thing you can do is use an inner tube and wrap it round the chainstay.
He's not wrong, SRAM haven't reinvented anything, they've added some nice features to something that's been around for an age.
I can't blame anyone for mentioning the cost of replacing a wear and tear item, they should factor that in if they decide to upgrade. I'm sure GX will be along soon at a...
Nice new (to me) trail up at Golfie. One of the drier ones once you get out of the woods at the top, little bit loose and quite exposed steep hillside you don't really want to be falling down 😬
Squeeling brakes sorry....
Haha I wouldn't say I'm a newbie but these things happen when you are pushing your limits or trying to thread you're bike through rocky gullies. You still see pro's doing it during races, Jack Moir calls it paying your derailleur tax :ROFLMAO:
Honda created a gearbox on their DH bike Greg...
Bosch have never said what the issue is but have just replaced the motor each time. I think water may be getting into the motor somehow and getting to the electrics. I ride in the wet but never submerge the motor and don't jetwash the bike.
I think it's just a case of the 720Wh battery doesn't fit in the current Bullit frame, so we won't see it until they have new carbon moulds made to fit it (or a different battery entirely). Moulds are very expensive so they need to sell so many frames to make their investment back before...
I really like a big travel FF Ebikes. It will give you more confidence on rougher trails, and can help on jumps/drops if you want to build up confidence. They give you a bit more room for error too if you are casing or landing nose heavy.
But they can feel overkill on some trails, and the extra...
I think quite a few riders were waiting for the 720Wh battery when they saw the Heckler appear with it. I thought the Bullit was coming up to 3 years now but it looks like it's another 6 months away still. They also had issues fulfilling orders through Covid so it could be a while before we see...
Can't see SRAM/Shimano rushing to change the design anytime soon. It's not really in their interest to make something that would mean less sales unfortunately
Only for the end user, anyone who has a friend with access to the software can get it reset.
Agree on buying on condition though. You won't have any warranty on a second hand bike, I'd factor in the cost of a new motor and battery when comparing it against the price of a new bike, they can go at...
True, there's only so much you can do when you still have a mech in this position. The mech will rotate backwards if it his impacted from the front which should help to an extent.
As good as it is I'd still prefer a gearbox...
I've replaced a Kiox display myself and the odometer didn't reset.
I've also had two replacement motor's, after the first swap the milage stayed the same.
When the second motor failed I mentioned the odometer to the service centre and they said it should have been reset, which they did on when...
My last replacement was 6 weeks ago and it took a week from sending diagnostics to being back out riding. Not a bad service in my experience, but let's keep the thread on topic.
I've had 2 Bosch motors fail and they've always posted out the motor to my local service centre and collected the old one at the same time, no payment is made. I've also had displays/controllers break and they've just sent out a replacement without having to send them the old one for inspection...
In UK your contract is with whoever you bought the bike from. If you have a warranty issue on components within the timeframe (usually 1-2 years) then it's upto the dealer to fix, and they shouldn't be charging you for any warranty work.
