God I love my ebike! It's been a few months since I last went out because of Sleep deprivation caused by my little boy. The trails round here are lovely at the moment compared to the usual slush, I really don't think you could go any quicker on a IC dirt bike. Long live the ebike.?
I have no interest in changing bike until the frame cracks but would like another 500w battery for bike parks. As it is, my current 500w battery lasts half a day.
If they are doing it to be light weight then that is also daft. Who cares about an extra 500g on a 20kg bike that, has a motor! All the logic is flawed.
Thats no excuse though is it, I'm no engineer and I can see a way around it. It annoys me because I thought Whyte were supposed to be innovative and have good design.?
The Whyte looks very good but why would you put the hole for the battery in the dirtiest, shitiest on a bike? Even if the cover is made of substantial aluminium with a decent gasket, hinge and catch (it will be flimsy plastic clipped in) even then changing the battery half way through a day, you...
i bet motorcycle sales have taken a nose dive since ebikes came out. I've sold one and the other will be going soon because they don't get used anymore
I Will be going to a coil shock next, my current one is at the 300 psi max and is just on 30% sag with my 100kg. My ohlins coil forks have been lovely. I find plus tyres to be more forgiving to the rims.
Shorter 152 cranks help a lot with pedal strike. My 150mm Thomson dropper is plenty for me...
I found 152 cranks reduced pedal strike a bit and made no noticeable reduction in stability. Cadence does go up but bobbing on saddle is reduced probably because of reduced leg travel. Ohlins forks set up for my weight also helped a little bit
Having only ridden my Bosch ebike I would be put off buying another because of the water ingress related bearing failure I have had, water ingress in battery and screen, stupid small tab on motor housing that has stripped the thread due to undersized bolt and now creaks unless I oil it with the...
The rear shocks are set up for skinnies only. My one is running maximum pressure for correct sag with my 15stone on it. You probably could get a custom setup but that will be more money.
On my first cassette I got 2 chains and 1000 miles , I tried a third chain but it wouldn't run without skipping. I have just put a third chain on my second cassette and it's working just about but not nice.
Trouble is now my wheel bearings are shot at 1800-1900 miles. This is all slx bits.
I have a doogee s50 and I think it's ip68. This is my third doogee tough phone and for the price they are good. My current s50 was £95 from banggood and took about 4-6 weeks to get here. I had a doogee s30 before that and the s30 was £85 I think but it only lasted a couple months before...
I wouldn't. My deores were ok until they got wet or a bit of crap on the pad then they were useless. Considering how cheap Zees are I wouldn't get anything less.
