I personally don't bother, I charge it back up to full after every ride. Nothing worse than wanting to go out on the bike only to find it has a flat battery.
Try different tyres. My originals that came with the bike were total crap compared to the minions I have now. They would wash out un controllably all the time where as the minions are stuck fast.
I've just gone over 1000 miles on my current slx cassette with the third chain & sprocket. All is working at the moment but I won't be able to get another chain on this cassette as it's now too worn. I spray the chain with 3in one oil nearly every ride.
I'm not bothered about noise. I just want a strong rim around 40mm and a hub preferably with a steel free hub body if that's what it's called ( the bit the cassette goes on). Also I want cartridge bearings so I can replace them easily. I know where to get bits I just need advice on what make of...
My slx hub bearings have gone and will need replacing soon. What's a good rim around 40mm and hub with cartridge bearings? I would prefer getting a ready built wheel if possible.
I got about 300 miles at the most out of a 2.8 rear dhr minion exo before the side wall split right by the bead about 4 inch long. I would have taken it back to the lbs but was embarrassed after just having to return two £70 helmets because of inferior quality, rachet slipping.
Lucky he spotted that before hitting another jump. It makes me think if your going to be doing jumps and DH then maybe you should go tripple clamp sooner than you would on a normal pedal bike. I certainly noticed way more flex on my old suntour forks than I have on a MTB before, I suppose...
Frame with motor only or even a frame with all electronics but no wheels or forks. The bike builder I spoke to said Shimano won't let them.
An external battery mounted inside behind a cover is the best solution yet and I would buy one for that reason alone.
I'm not disagreeing but why would a cheaper gennie have a modified sine wave? I would have thought a spinning alternator would make a create a sine wave?
