I tried the pre slimed tubes but I still got punchers. I just drill the rim out to ,I think, 8mm then fit Schrader valved tubes and stick half a big £15 bottle in each tyre.
I've not had a puncher ages now. I did have some trouble with a leaking valve due to slime when I tried to adjust tyre...
It just feels a bit loose compared to a new bike, also I would like a bigger bike if possible.
I've rebuilt my motor 3 times now and the frame bearings once. It's also on its second front wheel and third rear wheel. I've been looking at second hand emtb's and it's surprising how many have less...
What do people consider to be the best 150mm travel Bosch emtb with external battery? I would think it will have to be second hand but that's no problem. In fact I would prefer second hand mostly for price but also I've rebuilt my 2nd gen? CX ,small sprocket, a few times now.
Currently got a...
I sold all my motorbikes (road and dirt) after getting the emtb because the freedom and ease of use means you can go out when you want .
I am now three or four years later starting to find myself missing having the power and ability to cover distance that you get with a proper motorcycle.

I spoke to the shop and was told I shouldn't expect a bike tyre to last more than a year.
So much for supporting your local bike shop:rolleyes:
I suspect the first one failed before that but don't exactly remember.
I've had 3 maxxis plus sized tyres split at the bead with only light xc use. Pressures I run are 20+psi.
All had loads of tread left.
I no longer run maxxis tyres.
Your over thinking it, just get a normal ebike, turn it up or down as required, be happy.(y)
If you're not carrying it over styles every few yards you won't notice any weight difference.
You will however notice when the half size battery goes flat.
I have just bent one of my cranks on my ktm. I think this is my second or third set to fail somehow.
I like the hope cranks but they state "does not fit Bosch gen 3 BNI spindle".
I assume this means they dont fit the gen 3 cx with the small sprocket?
The 2.8 minions are totally rubbish with regard to their longevity. I've had two split the side wall well before the tread was warn and I only ride light xc. Considering they cost as much as, or more than motocross tyres I think that's poor.
The side wall feel similar in thickness to a inner...
I've had my emtb for something like 4 years now.
You can ride them in the wet but they do have extra service items and require a little bit more maintenance than a normal pedal bicycle.
They do however require less maintenance than a motocross/ enduro bike.
I've got a Bosch CX and have...
It must be worth £2500+. Be very careful how you advertise it and be sure the pictures don't give away it's location. It sounds overly paranoid but I've had a couple close calls selling Mx and enduro bikes
I recon they could last ok. My Bosch cx is 4 years old now and I've pulled it apart to replace various bearings 3 or 4 times now. I think the thing that will kill my bike is if the headtube/steerer tube part company so the same as any non elec bicycle really.
