This thing with a geared hub and duel batteries would do nicely. Load 60 – Uncompromising and so much space | Riese & Müller

Sanity Check my 1st eMTB purchase - is my choice right?

If you get a bottom range bike and use it properly (off road) you will need good forks, 4 pot brakes and dropper post. Slx gears are fine. Good Forks are £1000, brakes are £200 and dropper is £100-£300. Buy whatever makes the most sense All things considered. When I was looking there was my...

Front or rear mounted Kids seat

I've taken my boy out with the we ride safe. First went out when he was 10-11 months. It's ok just ride smooth and don't bump into kerbs or ride rough off road because their head will flop about. The we ride safe has a nasty clamp for the front steerer tube designed for crappy £100 bikes. I...

What if i get a flat with tubeless tyre?

If you get a flat with tubeless you get in a bloody mess. That gunk makes your gloves go stiff as well.

    Bigger batteries, external?

I've got a Bosch with a 500wh external battery. Can you get bigger capacity batteries? I'm sure I've seen them on here somewhere but can't find them.

ABS brakes come to electric mountain bikes - A load of Bulls?

How incredibly lame is that, what's next, roll cages and seat belts or maybe traction control for our 1/4 hp motor. :poop: idea

How long will your EMTB last you?

I'm hoping that the motor can be rebuilt when needed and batteries can be re-celled. For me it will be if/when the frame cracks and although it could be welded, if it's near the head set (can't remember the name of tube) I will have to replace it.

    New versus old

Since meeting my wife and having my little boy I've become a complete wimp, it's the strangest thing. I used to love mx and enduro but now I really can't be bothered to get up at 5 in the morning to spend £100-150 to go and hurt myself. I don't bother trying to keep up with my mates on the ebike...

    Battery issue.... May be ??

They normally judge range based on most recent ride so you must have gone up more hills recently.

    New Owner ...1st service question

Oil the chain before every ride, or after and be careful to not get any oil on the rear disc. Keep an eye on the spoke tension of the rear wheel. If you get some loose spokes either take it to the shop or read up on wheel maintenance. Try to get the hang of not changing gear under load.(y)

    Bad backs & emtbs

I don't have any collapsed discs or anything like that but I do get muscle pain after working hard or even moderately now (builder). I took a day off work this week because of my back, I decided to go out on the bike and had no pain what so ever and felt a lot better when I got back. I would...
