Progressive air can
Rebound 8 from closed
4 Volume Reducers installed (max)

Welcome to the forums.

Nice bike btw. The suspension settings are a very good benchmark for the initial setup. You can likely fine tune your geometry also to suit your riding style. So the combinations can be endless.

I’m a “set-it and forget-it kinda guy …but my neighbor adjust his settings often. (Sometimes each ride).

Set the initial settings to where you want, then ride your typical trails. You may find that a few adjustments are needed depending on the terrain. Your final settings will determine how your bike behaves.

I share a Shoc-Wiz with a number of riders for suspension settings. Besides the basic suspension settings, it can also measure the type of terrain you typically ride. After a few uses it will recommend further adjustments to your suspension settings. Some recommendations are useful …some are not.

Anyone with a Blue Fuel added any splash of coloured parts?

Looking for new stem and not sure whether to just stick with black or go for something like hope orange or purple.

Hello everyone

I've been interested in the EXe for a while now and have seen a number of test videos and comparisons with the current competitor engines.
But since I haven't driven any of them yet, it's very difficult for me to judge the performance of the TQ.

However, I know the first generation Fazua motor very well, as it's fitted to my wife's bike (Ezesty AM 9.0).

Can anyone here tell me how the TQ compares to the old Fazua (in terms of performance and range)?

Try both, it's a buyer market right now.

Less powerful, less range, but much quieter to the point that most wouldnt even know its not an analogue bike if you didnt tell them.

Any guesses/predictions on the odds of an updated EXE being *available* next year that supports the 580 kw battery? Probably not high I am guessing...

FYI, Fazua = No option of a range extender & also anecdotal evidence of the motor being temperamental/unreliable.

Check the various forums on here for specific bikes and also the Fazua motor

Hi guys! What options are available for a proper lower shock bolt. Mine isn’t having issues. But, I’d rather replace it with a proper bolt before my bushing wears. There was a guy who had some made. I messaged him, but he is out of the bolts.

High, 160mm fork. Anyone running a 38? I think that is the direction I want to go later. New tires recently along with extending the fork. XR4's on closeout. Heck of a deal. Stocked up.

Also, had to get a new phone, Samsung S24 Ultra, and the app will not stay on while riding to track my rides. Gets a mile or two. Cannot figure out the setting causing it to stop. I believe it is phone related, not app.

Gmoss, Regarding the app not tracking rides after about 2 min I have the exact same issue with an iphone. Started about 2 months ago. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and bike shop updated bike. Issue persists so if you figure it out would like to hear.

Do you have battery saver on on the phone? Does any other gps tracking apps do the same e.g. Strava or do these apps not follow precisely your ride but have lots of straight lines, all batter saver issues?

No battery saver on the phone and this used to work flawlessly. My Rail uses Bosch Flow app and no issues on that bike/app.

Unless you’re riding at pro speeds, you’ll see no benefit to a 38. In fact, it may make the front end feel to stiff and it will add weight to your bike, which means less battery range. I would bump it up to 160mm and leave it.

Yep to all the settings posted. Same in the app and location permission while using it.

On my S22, the app would stay on with the littlw icon at the top. Heck, it would stay on till I told it I wanted to exit. Now, I open the phone up during a ride and the app is completely closed, no icon, like I did not even turn it on.

I did recently check, change a battery setting, I think. They did away with some of the easy on/off settings for battery savings.

Anyone with this specific phone having no issues?

Technology is soooooooo frustrating. I have the S22 Ultra & see no reason, yet, to 'upgrade'.
So, are you uploading a gpx of your ride into the Trek app to record your mileage?

Data storage issue? Too much data? Have you tried deleting the cache under Apps settings? Maybe uninstalling didn't clear it properly. You could also delete Data but you may lose all your rides.

I do not upload anything. Hmm. Have not thought about data limit in the app. Did not know there was such a thing. Haha

Edit: just checked. No rides. I did uninstall and reinstall the app and have have no rides stored in the app. I did delete the cache not realizing it would delete the rides.

I will try again next ride and see what happens.

At 160 now. Getting real sensitive to setup, getting some arthitis type pain in hands and wrists with all my activities. Want to move to the X2 fork and figured the 38 would be a good choice for the ebike, be more supportive.

The best thing you could do is to try and get weight off your hands. The EXes have to much front weight bias. So, getting some weight off the front will make it handle better, with a rear sag recalculation, and it should make you more comfortable. I would put on a shorter than OEM stem with a little rise. Like an Industry 9 A35 in 40mm long. Put any spacers below it and put on a OneUp Carbon 35mm riser bar. That will go a long way in solving your problem. There is a titanium bar on the market that has more compliance. But, I can’t remember the name of it. Another thing you can do is put a coil kit in your fork. That will give you better results than a 38. I think a 38 will make your problem worse.

Bike set up is good. The first thing I do because I need a more upright position (C4/C5 fusion 10 yrs ago). It has a lot to do with age, and me. LOL I find that nirvana floaty yet grounded susp setting every so often, but it changes every time I ride.
Have you ridden the new 38 X2?
