Yeah!💥 The CEF50 will have a battery extender (water bottle cage fitment). It's a Bafang, see pic below.

Size (Wh) and price are unknown...it's still under Bafang development. Fully comfortable with FT-014. 🤛

Linda says they're engineers confirm it should work with bigger 720Wh too...I hope so.🤞See Convo below.

There is no way you can mix a 36v and 43v battery on the same motor. It is clear there are two bafang m820. One 36v version and another the 43v version. The F014 is a 43v battery and the 720wh is a 36v battery. Never the twix shall meet.

Yes, I saw the battery voltage differences. I just figured I'd probably be making my own with 720 Wh. I just didn't bring it to Linda. I don't think they care with 720 Wh...they figure no one will want it with a bigger battery.😲

Except me because I have to have 36v
Ah you mean nobody with a 720 will need an extender, quite so.
:)
I would get a 420 if it was 36v because I want the lightest version possible.

Here is supplier showing you must choose between 36v and 43v

💯True, I just asked Linda if Bafang was going to make an extender for the 36V too...to help clarify.

Also, hoping that the CEF50 engineers might be inspired to make one.😜

I just noticed on the other thread how the rear chainstays have an extra pivot bolt just anterior to the rear axle. This is exactly how transition builds their bikes.

Do any other brands build rear triangles with an extra pivot bolt like transition?

Could this possibly be a scrapped mold from transition?

Maybe they make for Transition.?💪Supposedly most of the big brands use a handful of Chinese frame manufacturers. So, It wouldn't surprise me.

Either way, hoping this CEF50 frame will be as stout as a great brand like Transition.😁

You notice that on the pictures laying out all the things you get with the frame.... It looks like the headset is a Zero Stack not an IS. I can't find a 66mm lower anywhere? Why a 52/66, to get the cables around the steerer tube?

I am thinking that Bafang makes a 36v battery that would fit the CEF50. If you look on the Battery chart in their catalog. The column that includes the BT F014 also has the BT F100. Same form factor and the column says voltages of 36,43. But if you then look at the specific page for each battery the BT F100 is listed as only 36v and the BT F014 only 43v. So I think that the BT F100 and the BT F014 both have the same form factory fit in the same downtube specification.

Just putting it out there: the biggest M820 "con" is range anxiety. Strongest field-tested argument yet.

A Range extender alleviates this issue. Let Linda know it's a prioriry. Check it out!

Hey that looks exactly familiar!😁 Yeah, I suspect that there might be a few of these "clone" or "open source" frames to pop up in the near future. Let's hope that the LCEF50 is the most well-built and reliable one. Also, providing good warranty support!🤞 But definitely good to have competition and get an official website as a backup.

One thing I did notice on CEF50 naked frame was a solid seatpost/seatmast when scrutinizing shock fitment of the coil. The Trust one has a cutout on the full build. So maybe ZCF just made a slight change to make less generic if that's what's happening?

Of course, just bored waiting :)
Especially because of two entities need to sync, SZC and Bafang.
How is yours going to be shipped?

I suspect they'll ship battery and probably motor kit by boat separately. Frame by air/ground combo.

DengFu sent separately...frame first but that's probably random.

Cheapest/easiest. But I hear ya! My new parts are already collecting dusk making for an early Spring cleaning😎

Now I remember, DengFu sent my frame and motor separately from battery. The battery goes by boat, then ground if the same. Battery took two weeks longer. Just enough time to paint it and do stickers and partial wrapping with helicopter tape.

The prep is important to a good paint job. Sand the whole frame with 600 grit, clean well. Mask well. Light coats sanded in between with yield the nicest finish. Rob actaully has a nice video of his painting the first Cheeb.

Although SZC will paint your frame very inexpensively.

Sure Rob was very thorough...metallic takes a little more effort. But honestly if you do full clear frame wrap you can skip at least the clear coat which is the hardest part. IMHO

Some manufacturers will do a custom fairly cheaply but the hue might be hard for them to match. Especially multi-colors.

Actually most support the Pantone system so the match would be as good as can be had.

Not my experience with past manufacturers....especially with fades and two-tones. Just say'n.
Plus, add another 1-2 weeks at least...not much is really done fast.
