My size large frame arrived
Good quality and all the bolts etc.
looking a the cable entry on the head set you need to make sure there is cable length in the frame or the cables will chaff
looking forward to the first ride

Very nice frame, when did you order it? I ordered my L-frame in March and still don't have a tracking number

I received my 50S cells, and the BMS and copper / nickel...
I have a question for the battery pros over here, remember, it will be a 1P battery:
For my serial connections, is it better to try a copper nickel sandwich with 0.1 x10mm nickel and 0.1 x10mm copper (portable cheap spot welder) or I can do 0.2x8mm X2 (in "parallel", there is enough space on the cell) ?
Knowing that I need to get 13 Amps, without burnin the bike :)

Copper is 4x better the nickel when it comes to amps, so the copper would be slightly better even when that nickel is doubled up (8mm vs 10mm). Personally I think you should try the copper first but I have my doubts on if that cheap spot welder can handle it. I'm not sure if you have bought the nickel but from what I've read and when speaking to builders where the sandwich is common it seems to be easier to weld with "nickel plated" steel as it has more resistance. I would highly recommend you make sure the connections are strong enough on a test cell before you go forward with the whole battery.

Thanks, I’ve bought one extra cell to test, I will test the sandwich and see if it works, I already have the pure nickel, so I will check with that and if it does not work, let’s go for nickel only

Doubled up on the nickel should also be good if that's the case!

Copper nickel does not work, I’ll make a new try with a fully charged battery on my welder but so far it was not ok.
Nickel .2mm was perfect, first time welding a cell and it helds perfectly

So my build is almost finished, 16.5kg without battery. My dropper is dead so I need to change it.
I’m waiting for the bafang btf014 and in the meantime I will build the 1p that will be less than 1kg

Wow, very ligth! Cca 19kg with org battery. Does the coil shock fits OK?
It fits perfectly! My fork is quite light, 1800gr, which helps to keep the total weight low.
I have a alloy wheelset which is quite light but I could save some weight with a carbon wheelset and a new chairing and spider

Looks good! What spring did you go with and how much do you weigh?
I am 73kg out of shower, and I have 450lbs/inch spring waiting for the build.

BTW, anyone using the « i don’t know the name but the thing provided with the headset to replace the star nut » ?
It keeps moving, no matter how strong I tighten the bolt, which makes play in the handlebar…
I will install a star nut tomorrow to replace this

Forget it. Use a starnut 😊

I just plugged my battery and I have error 07, it seems it is too high voltage. that's weird, I only have 12 cells, and my motor is 43V... maybe they are overcharged ? but with BMS and dedicated charger, I don't know how that could be possible

Do yo have voltmeter, to measure actual voltage of the battery?
Also, bafang charges 43v battery to 49.2V, and your charger probably to 50.4V. I would assume, that the motor should be fine with this voltage, but something worth checking.

Sux aboutthw 014 battery though...

My voltmeter was dead, I’ve ordered a new one. You’re right, my charger probably overcharged the cells but that will be problematic if I want to use it correctly.
I’ve connected a light bulb to the battery to accelerate the discharge

I've checked and my charger charges to 50.4V, now I need to find a way to discharge the battery to an acceptable level ...
