Yeah. I looked after my last ride, and the rubber ring was almost at the bottom. And that was after the guy at my Specialized shop filled with air. I stopped by the shop on my way to go riding in the trails near my house. Max air pressure in rear shock is 300 psi, isn't it? I think he put max air pressure in it. Here is a picture of where the rubber ring is on my shock. I drew a red line where it is. So that would be around 80% - 90% sag, right?

Whew. NO. That isn't sag, that's your max travel for the ride. Go watch some basic YouTube videos on suspension set up.

Yes, you're right. I have watched a number of videos on setting sag. Also, the mechanic at the Specialized shop set the sag for me when I was sitting and standing on the bike. But I misunderstood, I thought once the sag was set that the rubber ring should not go so low. I just put air in it a few minutes ago and it's now at 260 psi. I can't get anymore air in it than that with my shock pump because the limit is 200 psi.

I believe the Float X shock is 350 psi max but please check the manual to make sure. If you're not feeling a harsh bottom out (pain in the ankles) then I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah, I think it is 350 psi after searching for it today. We'll see how it goes. Maybe 260 psi will be enough for now. Sorry for the confusion.

Took delivery of a levo SL alloy today S4, stripped down to the frame and rebuilt with parts I already had. Knocked 1kg off the standard build weight.

I'm booked for a weekend of uplifts, dirt farm and bike park Wales. I was going to take the non e, but I'm considering taking this instead now!

I'm booked for a weekend of uplifts, dirt farm and bike park Wales. I was going to take the non e, but I'm considering taking this instead now!

How was it to strip down as I'm considering doing similar and buying a low spec model.

does anyone know how much S2 alloy weigh? S4 carbon v S4 aluminum is 4lbs difference for $1k difference

the Alloy model is practically neck-to-neck with carbon only Heckler SL for weight and price (base trim obviously)

Who tried a mode which adjusts the motor assistance accordingly to your heartrate? How are your impressions? Is it cool/useful?

Heart rate I found pretty useless when terrain inclination changes a lot, as HR is lacking behind.
With Levociraptor you can also autoregulate support by rider power which is much more useful.

This is exactly what I’m looking at doing if Spesh ever gets their fingers out of their butt and releases some of the frames they have sitting in the warehouse.

How does it ride with the link? I have the shock already, just need the link and a frame to put it on.

Are you using an optical heart rate sensor? Those are laggy and you need a chest mounted one.

It's not the sensor, it's the heart.
Try go on the flat with 110bpm. Then enter a sudden 25% incline where you have to work overtime. Your hear rate will take a while to raise while you are praying that your bike will increase power.
In constrast if you look at rider power, that increases instantly.

I’ve only had a couple of proper rides because of the weather here lately, but yes it rides very well! I’m very happy with the transformation.

I joined the LEVO SL club 3 weeks ago - my first e-bike. I‘m really impressed by the bike - it‘s so much fun to ride. I tested the Levo SL ,the Trek Fuel Exe and the Trek Rail - and it became immediately clear, that a mid - powered E-bike is the right tool for me. Deciding between the Levo SL and The Fuel EXE was more difficult - both are great bikes. The Rail as a Full powered bike felt more like a tank - I definitely prefer agile bikes like the Levo SL especially on the downhills. The light e- bikes are perfect for my local rides - I don‘t miss more power and the range is fine with me. I‘m not sure if I need the range extender but I like the idea for longer rides. I am just worried that from now on I will use my normal Enduro bike only in bikeparks and lift assisted trailcenters.:)

Spesh has the 2024s on the website but there’s no frame only option, wonder if that means they’re not going to offer it anymore.

Love some feedback on the cascade link. Had a Santacruz hightower 2 and the link transformed the bike
I have both the Cascade link and the Cane Creek Tigon coil over shock - each changed the way the rear end feels and behaves. I had the cascade link months before the shock and it gives you a bit more travel (160mm) and an increase in progression which you can notice. The shock takes it to the next level! I just recently put on the new Fox 38 fork with 170mm and now this thing rocks downhill sections like a champ! I'm running as a full 29er with and have made a few changes to stock. The Maven brakes are also IMO an excellent upgrade.

(I also have Cascade's link on my Stumpjumper EVO)
