Are you running the latest motor firmware? This is supposed to give you a clearer separation between default “Trail” and default “Turbo" modes.

MOTOR SL1.2 FIRMWARE RELEASE – 6x.5.0/ 7x.1.06

This motor firmware includes:

  • More consistent motor power scaling when using “Microtune”
  • Clearer separation between default “Trail” and default “Turbo” mode setting
  • Change to these default Tune settings for “Trail” mode, based on rider feedback: 75/60 – (previously 75/80; this only applies to Levo SL2 bikes)
Cheers for this.

I made those changes, way better battery now and only a bit more pedal power needed ;)

Has anyone changed a motor on a Levo SL gen2. I have too I have old motor out and will be putting a new one back in. Can I do any updates on the specialized app. Or do I need to take to the shop. And what exactly do they need to do?

It doesn't look like any replenishment stocks are coming into Specialized. I've been waiting on an "In-Stock" notification on a S4 Expert for at least 2.5 months and check pretty regularly. The same colors and sizes continue to be out of stock.

I’ve been waiting on a frame for months now! I was told Spesh only sent the UK 20 frames in the size I need for the whole country, they pretty much sold out at release. Rider Care told me Jan/Feb for new stock but I’ll believe it when I see it.

I was lucky enough to get one from the first drop in an S4. I was also told at the time that timelines were a little unclear for more to come in(didn’t think I’d manage to get one) but was also told Jan/Feb. They may have a better idea now as they should be on the boat already if so.
A few colours available as complete bikes but it’s bloody expensive! I like the white mountains colour best.

Complete S-Works S2 size bike has popped up on eBay. May be worth a look for some. £7.5k and bike shop owner apparently.

Yeah, I debated buying a complete bike and parting out what I don’t want but with bike parts selling for nothing right now it wouldn’t be worth it. I have enough spare parts to build up a frame so that was my plan.

how easy is it to remove the motor. Mine has started to slip under a decent load.
My one-way clutch in the motor started slipping, and initially it would only slip when you peddle as hard as you could up a hill, now it slips with medium pressure and makes a horrible ratchet, slipping noise.
The first time I took it to the dealer they couldn’t get it to do it but now I took it back a second time, and it makes a lot of noise when you pedal with medium pressure and the crank just slips to the bottom of the stroke. They’re ordering me a new motor. The motor is backordered till the first part of February here in the United States.
I only have about seven or eight rides on it.
I really enjoy the geometry of this bike it rides, so lively with a light wheel set and, a 27.5 wheel outback.

Just got my SL gloss birch/ taupe; it is nice warm white in reality.
So… finally bike is here but I had serious lung surgery 10 days ago and will have no chance to ride my new bike for weeks? Months? 🤦🏻‍♀️
BTW, go see the doctor if You have chest pain from time to time for few days, even if it doesn’t feel that bad.

Well February has came and gone and still no frames in stock in the UK. I’m guessing I’ll be looking at picking something else up, just not sure what as nothing else is offered as a frame only. I’ll be stuck buying the cheapest version of whatever and trying to offload parts.

I pulled the trigger on a Trek Fuel EXe 9.5 over the weekend. Trek dropped the price at least $1,000 on all models here in the US so I figured I'd build it up with the components I want and stretch the travel a touch to 160/146.

I just want a frame!! I’ve been waiting for months now, Spesh originally told me Jan/Feb but that didn’t happen. I inquired again and was told spring this time…..I’ll believe it when I see it.

Makes me glad I was in pestering my LBS to order me one last April when they were announced.

You might get a choice of colours when they eventually have stock. I've seen a silver one and the red/orange colour that people got as frame only. Mine was sold as silver, but black turned up!!

My Levo SL gen 2 in S5

- S-Works frameset build
- We Are One Convergence 29” rims on I9 Hydra hubs
- 5Dev 160mm cranks
- Enve M7 carbon bars
- XTR brakes, 223/203mm Galfer rotors
- PNW 200mm Loam seatpost, WTB Volt saddle
- Assegai DD 2.6” front, DHR Exo+ 2.4” rear
- Fox Factory 38 @ 170mm
- Crankbrothers Mallet DH pedals
- Stock shock
- XO Transmission drivetrain

This comes in at 19.47kg. This is as light as I am prepared to go without sacrificing capability - not going to be chasing weight down.

Slightly heavier than expected, but I’m extremely happy with it. Only 2.5kg more than my analogue enduro bike.

So good!
