Holy cow…This SL is nice and plush. Impressive suspension even for the comp model. First impression after a 22 mile ride was very impressive. The motor and power delivery was better than my ‘22 Rise and this would most likely get the same range as my 360wh Rise. Really impressive.

With the current set up with pedals is 41 lbs. My Rise with pedals is 43.8 lbs.

In what way is power delivery better than the Rise? Am curious as a Rise owner
Thanks

Anyone have any links or info on frame protection kits yet?

I have emailed ride wrap to see when they will have a tailored kit available. I have previously used InvsiFrame but I could not get there contact link to work, I heard from my LBS next week from them.

I didn’t get to ride the bike yesterday apart from a spin around the block and I am away now all week so if I can get a kit if it’s available I might be able to wrap this one before I ride it (a first for me)

The rubber band was designed to go round the plug and not the bottle cage. I see so many with this incorrectly positioned. Got this from a Specialized manager.
You mean incorrect like in 99perc. of Specialized photos :- ) ?

Without the rubber-band around the bottle cage it can dislodge at medium sized drop, tested by myself.
I also suggest watching slow-motion videos of KSL with extender, it's dancing around like crazy, even with the band, thanks to the high position in frame. May not be problem for LSL.

Or like every single official Specialized video :- ) ?

I was able to select 2023 Turbo Levo SL 27.5/29 tailored kit from ridewrap yesterday. Is it not available in your area?

Actually I’ll go order mine now….

Haha, You won the first prize! :p
At the time of publication, I was wondering who would be the first to ask this.
I was looking through old pics and it turns out i had the set up years ago on my SL lol

I remember having a blast with the bike. I probably talked about this set up somewhere in the forums

I like that there will be more adjustability with the gen 2

Been out on two rides on mine now! Just started playing with settings done 17 miles today with 2,034ft on elevation 30/100 and had 12% left. Now lowered the settings a bit to get more out of her.

I love this bike downhill/trails so much more playful than my gen 3 Levo.

I did see that but the frame picture is not the new 2023, it’s got a side blade like the previous model, I wasn’t sure it was correct.

I will check the SKU number and see if they make a different one for gen 1

I've had several sets of Roval, and have never had an issue either. My SL has the Roval Traverse carbon, and my Stumpy has 27.5" 38mm Traverse SL fattie wheels on it.
I'd happily buy another pair of Roval, however they don't come as a mullet set... and they don't seem to sell them as individuals to make a set?

There seems to be big lead times on a lot of these wheels at the moment...
I may end up running the bike as 29" for a while!!

Part of me has always wanted ENVE - however the prices are a bit tough to swallow!
It turns out that the bike store can order the Roval wheels as singles, so can order a mullet set if required.

I guess the question now is what sort of weight do the Traverse SL front 29” and rear 27.5” come in at? Probably looking at about £1500 for the pair… so what’s better / lighter for similar money?

My frame won’t be here until the 20th May (current estimated date) so I have a couple of weeks to get a wheel set and a couple of other little bits I need.

Another question… I have the Chris King dropset on my 2019 Levo SL. Will that transfer over to the new model, or do I have to use something special because of the adjustable headset cups?

The new bikes take the CK dropset 5, you lose the ability to adjust the head set of you use it though.

I have ordered the frame only… but I (or my dealer) have no idea what it comes with. The assumption is that it’ll come with a headset - as previous frame only builds have.

It’s dropset 5 I have on my current SL… so I guess I’ll have to see what angle I prefer to see if I use it or not.

The bearings should fit

Cool 👍 you should at least get the adjustable cup etc
I'm looking to swap everything over from my 22 Levo Pro 👍

Thanks for sharing this. Love the bike but I need the range / elevation gain of the Levo 700 battery.

Have to figure the handling is amazing

In my experience the SL with extender battery can go the same range and elevation gain as a 700wh Levo/Kenevo. I just work a little more and climb slower, but i can go where they go.

The gen 1 Levo SL was my fave when riding solo. When with FF bikes, i go the distance but not as fast uphill

Always thought the SL needed a little more power. We’ll see how the gen 2 does and I imagine I won’t be too far behind on the climbs….

Some mathematical reality:
50 NM at 320 W is 62 rpm. Faster than that and the NM drops off.

What?? What does this math have to do with peak power? I’m usually not super negative but I feel dumber after reading that.
This is about torque. At any rpm above 62 we will not get the 50 NM because that would require more than 320 W.

That’s a static mechanical calculation that only applies if you, yourself, are not pedaling which is not possible. Theoretically that might work out if the bike could move without input from you.

Has anyone in the UK seen the colour of the S-WORKS Frameset, there are pictures floating around online of it in silver, but all of the online listing for it in the UK list it as “Satin Carbon/Black Chrome Foil/Silver Dust” same description as the black S-WORKS build?
