Next question. Is this the problematic axle then? I thought I read elsewhere that it was a different spec. View attachment 148942
Everyone seems to say it's trash. I ordered a Maxle and will be using that. I guess it's worth at least trying though. The different spec is probably for non-UDH frames. The one I have is 174mm long and 1.5 pitch, but it looks identical otherwise, meaning it's probably from the same OEM and of the same quality.

I couldn't find that length in a Maxle in 1.0 thread pitch.

I ordered one from the Robert Axle Project instead.

Me neither, I ordered the 171 assuming it would be fine, especially since Dengfu puts a washer/spacer on their 174. I didn’t realize the UDH one would be 3mm longer at 177 though, so we’ll see how that works out… Mine may or may not work.

The thread pitch was less relevant to me because I have the t-type transmission so it’ll be bolting directly into that anyway. But I assume it’s the same thread regardless, not sure.

Fresh off the truck. Now the tricky part.

Appears to be as described with UDH, Headtube cable routing. Few bits to amass yet and the battery is close behind.

Frame weight with cables and battery hardware was as mentioned in another post. ~4.1kgs

View attachment 148923
Can you weigh the battery cover and mount? I was sent photos, I think that the frame without fastening and this heavy lid will weigh 3.3 kg. I have a light battery in a carbon case. I'd rather make a new lightweight battery cover. I also want to buy this frame for the m510, but if it weighs no more than 3.3 kg, like the Marghor

i measured the e10 retainer with both locks (upper and lower) and cables 3 weeks ago. maybe not same maybe same but it came to a whopping 570gr including wiring harness that is attached.

i build a ' lightweight' e10 last month with fixed battery. total weight was 23kg with coil shock, dh tires and 720wh.
my own e10 build without lightweight battery was almost 26kg, so there is some savings to be made

I'd be very interested to see how you got the battery mounted in there securely without the stock hardware. Any pics?

Saving 500g is nothing to sneeze at.

the battery has 2 longer bolts on the top mount that lock the battery to the frame in the old bolt holes from the top lock.

also the battery cover is pressing on top of the battery. all fits very tightly and there is no play as the cover pushes the battery tight.

i got this frame second hand from an other member and he made the battery and everything. i was skeptical but it fitted very nicely and doesnt rattle while descending down the trails

the battery (720wh) was 3.3kg and also saved weight by using no locks + wiring

it is connected with xt60 and diy charging wiring.

For those looking for a better rear axle, the 180mm SRAM Maxle worked perfect on my UDH frame. 12x148, 180mm 1.0 pitch is what you want on the UDH triangle. I think the 174 would probably grab the threads but not have much overlap. 177 or so would probably be ideal, but there was still enough room to fit the 180 before the threads bottomed out.

Just ordered a large E82 with M560 and 1008wh battery.

Looking forward to a winter build up project with a pile of spares I have already.

Anyone have any complete build pics?
Just pushed 2000km on mine, while I like the frame there are a few issues, the battery does not fit perfectly, bounces around. You'll need to foam wrap it and make a rubber boot for it to sit on if it's anything like mine.

i used a neat method on my e10 which also has a loose battery

I just found this on AliExpress: €1,79 | 1M Strong Self Adhesive Hook and Loop Fastener Tape Double Sided Adhesive Tape with Glue Sticker velcroes Tape 16/20/30/50/100mm

i put this on top of battery. its soft material and takes up all the play

on the cover i also put some foam tape to take the play of this to the battery

now its soundfree

That's a really good idea! I will have to do the same once my battery appears.

The first one went into the void that is Canada Customs and never emerged.
Mia said she would send another.

That's right. I'm 173cm tall, so I can only use a 120mm dropper from the factory. Carbon is easy to process and shape, which is good. I like big, sloppy machines. The head angle will be 59 degrees. The FOX 38 will be 200mm.20,6kg now.

Yes the dropper post is 40mm+ too long in most of the E82 sizes. Did you find any quick and easy ways to cut it down? I'm looking to do the same myself. Another friend did it with too many hours of hand sanding/grinding.

Anyone see the guy on Facebook who mounted the top tube display on his E82? He just cut the hole himself. I really like the clean look but I’d be afraid of weakening the frame.

It was in a Bafang owners Facebook group.

20.6kg is really light! What size battery are you running and what tires? Also, how did you get the Fox 38 to run 200mm?

I figured whoever it was would be on here, what did you use to cut it, something like a dremel? Figured it would have to be a high speed but of some sort. I’m interested in trying it.
Go for it! Not hard but measure 3 times cut once! Dremel works but you will need to fashion a place for the display screw to be mounted. I used some ABS plastic to fashion a bracket and heated up a brass nut insert and melted into the ABS. Then epoxied the bracket to the underside of the display hole. That's the part that takes the longest. One tip is to cut the hole a bit smaller and slowly using a grinding bit on the dremel, make the hole exact to the display underside. You can get ABS plastic from home depot or just grab some plumbing ABS pipes, cut it and use a lighter/heat gun to flatten it. Use that to make the bracket. Brass nut inserts can be found on Amazon or home depot as well. Hope that's somewhat clear.

Someone wrote earlier that the frame broke in the area of the castle and attached a photo. It is better to strengthen the cutout of the remote control well with carbon fiber. With this installation of the remote control, you need to remove 2 wires from the frame (the remote control wire and the throttle wire). I also use the front light wire. And then we have three wires. I found such a convenient wire on Aliexpress. And only one wire comes out of the frame. https://aliexpress.ru/item/10050053...l.0.0.46ea4aa6tHSTf3&sku_id=12000032901190450

I think the weak spot is between the key hole and the battery cover. Seems there have been some failures there. I got rid of the battery mounts and used the holes on the underside to solidly mount the battery instead. I then filled in the key hole with layers of carbon. If you don't work with carbon it would be challenging to reinforce the top tube display cut out area with any reliable strength.

Since I also own a CEF50, I used a spare 36v 15A carbon battery, and instead of using the Dengfu original battery holder, secured it in place with urethane. The FOX 38 and 29 damper cartridge stroke is 217mm. I used the air shaft from a FOX 40, cutting it to the original 180 + 15mm. The original two lower case bushes on each side bend, so an extra one was added. I chose titanium spokes and a lifetime warranty carbon rim, and did not use tire inserts, which also contributes to the weight reduction.

XLサイズのフレームで身長173ですか?間違ったサイズを選んでいます:p
E10 Lサイズは私には小さすぎ
The E10 L size was too small for me. I set it up with a stem length of 10 mm. My favorite is the Grim Donut. The titanium hardtail I made based on that is super fun. I envy everyone who has the chance to ride the real thing and talk to the creator.
