What size clamp do I need for a 31.6 seatpost?
34.9 - 35 mmWhat size clamp do I need for a 31.6 seatpost?
Thank you @thaeber , I think you are using Magura brakes. I would also like to install Magura MT5e brakes with MDR-P 203mm disc on both wheels. What adapters do I need in this case?34.9 - 35 mm
I only run the Magura rotors, but Shimano Saint brakes. Front 220, Rear 203. Front adapter will be PM 160 - PM 203, rear You need PM 180 - PM 203 mm. There are many options to buy those adapters from, they are quite common. Take the cheepest ones, no need to spend loads of money on fancy milled adapters, they all do the sameThank you @thaeber , I think you are using Magura brakes. My fork will be rockshox lyrik ultimate 27.5" 160mm.
I can't find a Magura MDR-P 203mm disc brake they are sold out so I will probably have to buy a 220mm for both wheels.I only run the Magura rotors, but Shimano Saint brakes. Front 220, Rear 203. Yes, my fork is compatible with a 220mm disc size.Yes, but check if Your fork is released for 220mm!
My frame has arrived today, but without a battery.
Dose it usually arrive separately or with the frame?
Should be matt colour? Have you requested to have it lacquered? Anyway from the pics what you’re seeing is just a raw Ud carbon which looks like that. Even top spec Trek Rail 9 looks identicalThe frame is painted very badly, is this normal or just the frame they sent me?

When ordering there were two options glossy or matte I choosed glossy.Should be matt colour? Have you requested to have it lacquered? Anyway from the pics what you’re seeing is just a raw Ud carbon which looks like that. Even top spec Trek Rail 9 looks identical
That’s what it is so. Gloss laquer just makes raw carbon stand out even more. Have a look at the top tube on rail 9’S. they look similarWhen ordering there were two options glossy or matte I choosed glossy.
Looks like glossy carbon to meIn some sides the lacquer is perfect, in others it is inhomogeneous.

Is it not the lacquer that’s Ok, it’s just highlighting the frame joint ?In some sides the lacquer is perfect, in others it is inhomogeneous.

This is Dengfu's response:Is it not the lacquer that’s Ok, it’s just highlighting the frame joint ?
I personally think you might have chosen the wrong finish or you might be confusing Uni directional carbon for a conventional weave carbon. Im not defending Dengfu here, but this is the standard glossy finish on this type of carbon. As I said to you previously OE manufacturers make the bikes in the identical finish. I have personally seen Specialized in UD carbon finish. Something like the photo below. This is Dengfu's response:
It is not bad painting, but UD carbon weave. UD glossy is just like this.
I find this frame so unacceptable, it looks distorted.

Yes, you are absolutely right.
Maybe it's my fault, I had a different perception I didn't know glossy carbon would look like this.
But this is a half-truth.
When I asked Dingfu what the glossy carbon frame looked like, they sent me this photo, which does not match the frame that was sent to me:

Nice colorSorry to hear that anyways. If it makes you feel better, I have the matt version and I will still be painting in a different colour. I just think they look very plain in carbon black. This is the colour I will go with.
ps: not my photo, saw this on FB

You should grease all theese parts. Think Dengfu just doesnt do that becauss all of discovered the sameI discovered that there is no grease in the screws areas, should grease be applied to these areas or is this intended because the frame is carbon?

Why would you put grease on the outside of the bearing seal or am I reading your question incorrectly. All the action takes place within the bearing where only a light smear of grease is needed as its a low speed movement. Technically if you fill the void between the bearings then all you are doing is attracting dirt which eventually will get under the seal and damage the internals.I discovered that there is no grease in the screws areas, should grease be applied to these areas or is this intended because the frame is carbon?
