Honestly i think alot of people derestrict the motors and this causes belt wear which is the most common failure. I've read people without derestrictions motors lasting alot longer.

I never derestricted my bike, and I'm on the 4th motor. Although only the first two failed, the third was replaced because it started being noisy (but it worked).

Hi Gents,
I currently have a kenevo gen 1 but after reading this thread I know my next bike. Any pointers for the build? Or which bike…comp or expert?
The frames are the same, if you need a 700W battery, go for the expert and you'll get the mastermind TCU as well. If you can live with a 500W battery then the comp will make for a simpler & cheaper conversion.

Hi there 👋

I'm in ! After selling my Kenevo20 for now having a Levo22 i again Bought a used Kenevo Comp after reading this thread. I'm actually at building up my 29er Wheels with EX511/DT350.
But with the tires i'm not clear:

I would prefer a MagicMary/BigBetty combo.

Has somebody tried the Schwalbe 2.6" rear ? Is there enough clearance ? Perhaps a pic for me 😊?

Best regards,

Chris

Different brands sizing are sporadic. I’ve got a 2.4 Specialized Cannibal in the rear. Wouldn’t want any larger than that.

This is what the offset bushing looks like, it goes in the top shock mount eyelet.

Average adjustment - single Offset Bushing (x2 for a pair)
Note: clearance required around eyelet will match the offset amount

  • 6mm bolt - 3mm offset, ~ 0.75° head angle adjustment.
  • 8mm bolt - 2mm offset , ~ 0.5° head angle adjustment.
  • 10mm bolt - 1mm offset, ~ 0.25° head angle adjustment..

Thank you very much for helping to clarify that.

After converting from 27.5 to 29, the TCU is still taking into consideration 27.5 wheels, does someone know how to let the TCU knows that new wheels are larger? Thank you

Would these help steepen the HA after a mullet conversion?

Check it out first, I am riding my Kenevo with 27.5 and it was reading for 29er. I started comparing my Strava numbers to mileage the bike was showing for a ride. The bike was showing almost 10 miles for a Strava 8 mile ride. I took it to the shop and they reset it through the setting screen.

Hi kenduro crowd, just got the 23 comp s3 yesterday, starting with the build:
F38 180 / boxxer wc 29 180 ?
Sd 65 or storia v3 65 or stock fox dpx ?
F and B on 29.

Crank lenght: stock is 160 alu praxis, but have a good offer for 165 carbon praxis? Anyone on s3 with 165 riding steep technical uphill with no problems or should i search for 155 cranks?

Imo, skip the fox 38 although the fox e-bike 38 is good. If you look around for a 27.5 Zeb with the old 2.1 damper can be found really cheap. Please don’t look at the static bb hight, I run my Kenevo with 30% sag and the bb is low. 155 cranks are great but the shorter your cranks, the higher your seat and bars have to go.
