I changed my Trek Rail headset bearings last week. Bike had 750 miles on it and was 12 months old. The bearing had a bit of life left in it but was a bit rusty / crunchy and there was a small amount of play in the bearing.Hah, thanks! TBH, I've never replaced a headset bearing in my life. How long do they usually last? And does that mean you'll keep this bike long enough to require a service?!
Its one of those that would have longer but I like to keep on top of some things when I can.
