Good stuff. SO you cant push the opposing bead up against the opposing rim with the insert in & use the centre of the insert for the second bead? I didn't have a proper look at the insert, how does it slide in & out? I thought it would have to be glued or like to keep the air in?
Well I can't really help but to say that I wouldn't recommend the Giro Riddances. I bought some last year and with any sign of moisture they're slipperyier than a couple of eels having a root in a bucket of snot.
Yes I don't usually use it however found it quite intermittent when I accidently left it on for a tight techy uphill. I guess that is why the update is there, more range of usability - maybe after the update I'll just leave it in turbo, hang on & launch to the top!!
To me they seem like bikes that are worlds apart. I have a Rail 7 which suits me & the hell tracks I like to ride but a SL (never ridden one I confess) I would have thought would be right at the XC end of the spectrum. In between there are a thousand other bikes that would probably be...
Yes that may turn out to be a problem in a while as the downhill tracks will become attractive to bloody ebikers wanting to ride up them. I can imagine the howls of outrage as $20 000 worth of gear become mangled together.
I most of the reviews of the software update they talk of the increase...
OK took a while for me to work out this is a software update not a motor update.
I've had my first ebike for a few weeks now & noticing that uphills can be as fun as downhills. I wonder if the nature of emtbing will change from the enduro style we currently ride where the tracks we seek won't...
My one wil have paint blisters soon as I am going to try that spray.bike paint to give it a change. Unfortunately the grey & maroon isn't doing it for me. I think Trek should have had a look at the new Santa cruzs colour schemes before choosing theirs.
High Rock Ruti
I've got nothing really to post but just wanted to see what it's like to start off a post with High Rock Ruti as the greeting.
Actually it's quite fun, empowering actually, have a go & try it & lets see if it will catch on?
Your bike (I'm assuming its a reasonably good one) will take you down some chutes & drops you wouldn't believe possible. The limiting factor in my riding is my awareness that as speed increases my reaction time lessens. I think you will know by now how coordinated & reactive you are, so ride for...
Just out of interest if you are changing the wheels, forks etc how did you arrive at the Rail as a bike choice? There would have been many 27'5 bosch powered bikes already set up similar?
The stock XR5s are on it the moment. I have to admit they did handle yesterdays slippery rooty rock infested ride a lot better than I thought but the confidence I get from minions makes me a better rider. They seem to grip off camber incredibly well.
I find it interesting you run cush cores with...
