Hehehe... Well the way i have come to look at things is that after I have owned something for a few weeks it never looks clean or tidy or unmarked. I have never been able to keep something in good enough condition to get top dollar reselling so I generally keep something till it's ready to...
Yep I just bought a Rail 7 & although it is awesome to ride I hated the colour scheme - it reminded me of the colour of a car someones grandparents would buy when they finally reached retirement. I love the Santa cruz colours so I ended up spraying it with spray.bike a matt sand colour & now...
Just got it rebuilt after painting. New Minions mmmmmm. ODI rogues, WTB saddle, motor update. Coming this week One up carbon bars & composite pedals - it's all about comfort.
I'm keen on getting a set of one up bars. The ones I've seen advertised are 35mm but the ones on the rail spec says 31.8? Also what rise
did you guys get?
Absolutely no going back for me. Funny how the non ebikers I've given a test ride to have enjoyed riding the ebike but always say something to the effect of they've still got a few years/ bikes left in them - like it's a death sentence.
Which is why I can't understand the sometimes huge price difference between brands which effectively have the same components. I get that there's scale of economy etc but still...
Yes they seem so light now. Jeez I nearly launched up into the trees on a couple of jumps. They are so light in comparison. Also the Fox 34s seemed so flimsy - never felt that way before the ebike.
Oh My God. Went out on the analogue bike yesterday & thought "It's got a flat tyre"- checked it- no. "Oh well then the brakes must be stuck on
'.... no! Argggh the hills, my leeeegggs....
Whose stupid idea was it to make a mtb without a motor????!!!!
How are you guys finding your brakes on your 7s. Mine are ok, they work well however on longer steep descents I get that strange feeling that they may give out. They probably wouldn't, but you know, once that thought gets planted in your head...
I'm hopeful some new pads would give a bit more...
What length was your stock dropper?
I gotta agree with your findings, I am so impressed with the nimbleness of my 7 & how much better it goes the faster you go. Being a weak climber (even after 30yrs mtbing) I spin more so the power delivery is spot on. Mines in pieces atm while I spray it but...
Thats quite interesting. I would have thought it would be lower overall. I wonder if the higher percentage of time in the max/red zone for the EMTB was due to more oh-shit moments on the downhills? :-) Used more calories too so the pie at the end is justified.
A bit off topic but kinda related to those who like details... Those of you who wear heart rate monitors, have you noticed what the drop on heart rate is on the same climb going from an analogue to e- mtb? I reckon instead of totally maxing out for 30 mins - 1hr I'm 'in the zone' for a couple...
Kia ora Bro. Wow grade 6! Is that where the track just disappears off a cliff & starts again at the bottom? i thought we had hard core tracks here in Nelson...
I've just been watching a few of these & thought I'd share the link. They are really clear basic tips & help by having someone being instrusted that isn'ty already a gun. I can't help but cheer each time.

I was thinking it would be interesting to see when in EMTB mode the percentage of time you're in eco, tour or turbo. Does the Kiosk have anything like that?
