Had an experience the other day that showed the good & bad of the extra weight. Rode an off camber track in the mud which is always sketchy on an accoustic bike however the added weight dug through the surface mud to the harder surface underneath. I could see the other tyre marks compared to...
No thats just part of the update. you will get used to it quite quickly & use it to your benefit when approaching roots, rocks etc. You do have to watch uphill technical cornering though & I always keep a finger on the rear brake incase I accidently loop out
I feel your pain. I'm going through a similar journey trying to eliminate the sore wrist/palm scenario. I got some ODI rogue grips which are nice & spongy, trying to get my forks right for small bump compliance, am conscious of releasing the death grip on gnarly downhills, ride uphills...
Thanks for the feedback. I'll ride it this weekend & then look at getting another lever. I'll take it to the local bike shop to shorten the cable.
The dropper is working ok but bit of lag between pushing the lever & the drop. The pressure it came with was around 200psi so bumped it up to 275.
Yes a 9 at Evo yesterday however T7 says their bikes were embargoed - The price increase 'apparently' is due to high worldwide demand & also the exchange rate.
I just fitted a oneup 180mm dropper post which works ok but it seems to take more pressure on the lever for it to work. The lever actually flexes a bit during operation.
Initially I thought it may be the cable so undid the post clamp & slid it out. There was a slight kink in the cable so I...
What was the actual conclusion at the end of the discussion? My eyes started to glaze over with graphs & stuff.
Back in my motorcycling days I bought a suspension gizmo that was sposed to stop brake dive on a budget fork for a budget bike. They were touted as really good & made untold...
Ah so it's not just me then. Lost my LHS bolt during a knarly downhill & didn't want to put the arm back on so rode out with it in my pack. Had a look this morning & the crank arm has a few knicks inside it towards the inside of the arm where it has sat halfway on moving over the steel axle...
Nah just the bolt came out. It's funny as I was halfway down one of the best tracks in Nelson (Te ara koa) absolutely on fire having a blast & remember looking down & seeing the grease on the inside of the crank arm & thinking I hadn't noticed that before. Went over a small root lost my footing...
Ahh so just need to release the cable from the dropper remote or loosen the whole remote (or handlebars) so enough is able to be pulled up? Are they fastened behind the battery case? (Too lazy to go look for myself :) )
Heads up T7 have a sale on. just got a new oneup dropper post $50 off & my carbon bars are now $30 cheaper. 27.5 minions are discounted too. They must be worried about the covid outbreak.
Yeah Philly you don't need anymore on your bike - you're already over sparkled ?
I was like you. When I looked at my rail they had sold 2 the previous day so promptly put down a deposit to secure mine.
What I’ve found is my riding is getting better and better as I tend to do sessions over the same tracks and can dial in the moves and experiment. I think having more bike...
