HI Lovely,
There is quite a bit of that male "connection plate" missing. The broken bits may still be inside the female connector.
I don't think the male connector is readily available as a new part.
If you can find one, possibly from a s/h fecked motor then it will be an easy replace although...
Hi there Harlsta,
This is a similar situation to a car starting system where there is a bad earth. the car starter slows down and the main power cables begin to get HOT. I would investigate the connections on the underside of the spade that is melting the plastic. I havn't had that off myself...
E8000 user and dealer manuals are both readily available on line.
If magnet and sensor is secure and the gap is correct then check the connection and continuity of the sensor cable to the motor under the plastic LHS cover. That covers everything that will cause W011 code.
Was at Comrie on Sunday. Everything open including the cakeshop. Recommended.
Cambusbarron is great riding as well..very close to Stirling...no cakeshop tho and you'll need someone to show you where the trails are.
Hi there,
Max torque of 13.5NM is about what you would excert using a normal allen wrench around 6" long.
So I guess it has been overtightened, and the hex's flats look like they wont last much longer.
Check the other end of the axle to see if it also has a hex keyway in it. If so then use a...
I dont think the seals will be the defining feature of your forks.
On a cheap fork replace the seals with a cheap seal. An expensive seal will probably leak quite quickly on a fork without tight tolerances.
Rockshox seem to have worked hard to get a great performing fork in the Lyrik. When...
I see you are from Scotland.
Radon have a tie up with a bike shop in Oban so that you can use them as your LBS for collection/warranty etc if you chose that option during the check out process (there is a small fee for this).
Not much use if you are in the Central Belt however if you are...
Instead of the service kit you posted buy this:
https://j-techsuspension.co.uk/products/skf-seal-kits?_pos=1&_sid=9935b81e0&_ss=r&variant=30612041171084
The rest looks good.
The upgrade is straightforward per the SRAM video (although the vid I saw shows the upgrade to 2019 spring).
if your fork does not has the new low friction SKF seals (turquoise colour) then you'll want them (post 2015).
If you buy the kit to upgrade rather than the full spring then you will...
Been running the 21 spring upgrade on a 170 Lyrik for about 100 miles now. Does what it says on the tin with the fork generally sitting higher in its travel :)
Fork still sags 10mm with the bikes weight tho as you would expect.
Walk mode: Hold down the bottom button of your mode controller for a couple of seconds. Let it go (the screen should identify u r in walk mode). Press bottom button again and bike will move :)
