When I replaced my shock I realized that Vitus had used the wrong mounting bolt for the lower shock mount. I replaced it with a bolt which I made up with the correct stem length. The original (wrong) bolt is on the left. You can see the problem. I assumed that it was just my bike but I found a...
Yeah, take it back, probably an issue with the spring on the latch. Don't mess with it yourself as the latch probably needs replacing.
Good luck with it. At worst they can replace top mount from a stock bike.
Have done 200 miles on the new bike, 50 of those miles were with 650b both ends (DT Swiss XM1501s with Michelin 2.4 Wild enduro tyres). The wheel/tyre swap took just under a Kilo off the bike and made quite a difference to battery range. I'm back on the original wheels tho' as I really like the...
Sorry you're still having problems.
The fact that it switches on and off by itself tells you that there is definately a power supply problem.
The most common supply problem is when the battery top mount needs adjusted down however that normally shows itself over rough ground causing...
Hi Vadll, thanks for your reply...
When I try to activate the Light Setting with STunlocker I get the message "Motor FW is not supported please contact Stunlocker for more info.."
My FW is 4.1.2/4.1.0 for motor/display
I can activate the "off/on/on always" button however when I press Update...
When you install the shimano motor the drive side is torqued up first, with no washers/spacers. This is to maintain the chainline. If that results in a gap between the motor and the frame on the non-driveside it would be good practice to use a spacer.
Hey Gary, for me out on my own I want to be able to take the battery out quickly like the BT8014 to save my fecking back lifting the bike over a fence/style. loosening muddy straps and/or three bolts to get the battery out is a PITA.

If you read thro the EP8 dealer manual you will find instruction for use. Bit expensive for a one time use tool :)
Read thru the Bullit thread only to find that one of the guys had lost his battery/cover after a hard hit!! This also happened to one of my mates with his Merida with the BT8035 battery last year!!
Caution required. Tried to buy the dummy piece to set the battery mount correctly. Not available...
I mentioned on another thread that one of the things I don't like about the bike is that you need to remove three screws to remove the battery...well..
..thinking about it, there is no reason why the Santa cruz Bullit battery cover can't be mounted on the Vitus which will allow the battery and...
Yeah, was interested to see how the bike felt with the smaller front wheel. Once I find a 8035-L battery I'm going to put on a lighter wheelset/tyres I have and some other mods to see how light I can get the bike without loosing its strength.
Dont worry, It's a cracking bike straight out the...
Answering my own question here, unless anyone knows better :)
The lights function on the EP8 motor can only be activated using the PCE01/02 hardwire connection.
Great. ffs.
Hey Guys,
Per the title
The light option beeps on the settings screen on the ecm800 display ..so it needs activating in E tube project or Stunlocker.
Stunlocker has the Lights menu option of off/on/always on. Except it immediately reverts back to off. with a message about previous...
Hi, I just put a 6" piece at midspan on battery/cover. Just use normal velcro it should work fine. Good luck with your new bike. I tried it out with a 650b wheel today. Feels great too!!
