Velcro straps for the battery, if you're planning to do anything more than country roads. 400mm long minimum. The Bosch battery tray is a real weak point and there are many cases of it coming loose. If you ride bike parks, tech trails with big drops etc I'd invest in some. I don't use my...

Wrist pain. Does bar rotation make a difference? (Update + back sweep)

Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated (y) I've had a play with the bar rotation today, Angled them straight up instead of inline with the forks. Also trimmed them down by 20mm. Only had the chance for a quick ride but first impressions seem positive. Although I've shortened the bars...

Wrist pain. Does bar rotation make a difference? (Update + back sweep)

Thanks for the replies all 👍 The explanation makes sense Mike, cheers. Going to have a play with the bars, I suspect they do need shortening a bit and I'll experiment with the angle.

Wrist pain. Does bar rotation make a difference? (Update + back sweep)

Loads of great info there guys thanks (y) Re the bar angle, I watched a video that made some sense but I'm going to experiment a bit I think. The video suggested that a good starting point for the bar rotation is inline with the fork angle. It feels neutral on flat ground and helps keep your...

Wrist pain. Does bar rotation make a difference? (Update + back sweep)

After getting my cube 160 with it's stock carbon bars I was getting pains in my wrist, mostly after riding and then for the following days. I swapped out for some 50mm rise alloy bars and they have helped a lot, I also much prefer the higher bar position for my style of riding, but I'm still...

    Seriel Number 140 HPC TM

Not sure if it will be the same but on the 22 model it's on the back side of the seat tube, tucked in front of the rear wheel.

    NEWBIE! CUBE STEREO SL 140S

The torque on those top caps is generally only 1-2NM you'd need a very expensive torque wrench to reliably fasten it. Finger tight is usual about right (y) As far as I'm aware there aren't many offerings for Internal Cable Routing headsets. from the pictures and description the E-system...

    NEWBIE! CUBE STEREO SL 140S

Sorry, I can't help with your question but your steerer tube top cap looks to be installed incorrectly, It should sit flush in the hole recess. I'd also swap it out for an alloy one as the plastic ones are prone to failing. Don't overtighten it upon reassembly (y)

Flank I'm meaning side of body, under arms and side of ribs. I'll also look into the under shorts. Going full tin Man look 😆

    Body armour, so much choice

Will be mostly for uplift days but also bike parks with push ups. As long as it's got decent air flow I'm not too concerned about heat, I'm cold blooded and ride with trousers and long sleeve all year round. I looked into the A10 also, looks good but no flank protection, if it's worth it? Had...

    Body armour, so much choice

That's a concern of mine also, the mesh has to be the weak point? I think the Knox urbane would survive better as it's a road motorcycle jacket and more designed for abrasion resistance than impact? Do like the look of this Alpinestars though. Two piece design, hard shell, CE2 rated, it's...

    Body armour, so much choice

Just seen this from Alpinestars. Looks to be similar protection as the Leatt 6.5 but possibly better airflow and cheaper. Thought? I can't find any reviews on it. Bionic tech V3 https://www.alpinestars.com/products/bionic-tech-v3-protection-jacket

    Body armour, so much choice

For anyone with the Leatt 6.5 body suit, can you remove the side rib protection and just run the chest and back armour? Also what size did you go for? I'm 6 foot tall but only 37.5-38 chest. So I fall into the medium sizing for chest and large for the height. Obviously would want it to be a...

Does grease have a sell buy date?

I have a tin of Castrol grease that was my father's, it must be circa 40 years old and it's still fine, nearly run out now though 😆

    Body armour, so much choice

Spent the evening watching a lot of reviews on all of the suggested armours. Other than the Knox which appears to have the best abrasion resistance the Leatt 6.5 offers the most protection. It's slightly lighter and less bulky than the 5.5 with supposedly better air flow. It's dual layer...
