finished off a little beginner line today of which i made a right meal of when recording it, but i blame this on my arms being too dead to hold on properly. :D The land used to have a lot of jumps and it got flattened at the end of last summer. So we are slowly building it back up.
Due to furlough i'm trying to help out with building local trails. it's starting to take shape but my upper body isn't really used to the manual labour. ;D The general idea is to have about 3 main lines with cross linking sections whether that be gaps or hips etc. Nothing huge just enough for...
The suspension came on the bike, the dropper would be replacing a perfectly good part purely for cosmetic reasons. the current dropper isn't exactly cheap to just swap out and leave lying around ?
know this... i looked into getting the fox dropper post even though it is worse because it looks shiny. :D £300+ for shiny might be a bit excessive. :ROFLMAO:
regarding the cameras. the 2nd one is just a cheap one that will be sitting in a variety of places just for extra angles on stuff. so sometimes it'll be pointing forwards, sometimes backwards, sometimes sitting on a rock etc.
So let's resurrect this...
Today I went out and hit a cold icy berm a bit too wide and next thing I know my face is coming into contact with the ground.
All is well but the helmet is a write off. Had I just had my normal one on I wouldn't like to think of the state my face would have been...

This is what i got for when i replace the cassette on my e180. Don't forget the tool to remove the chainring..

The wall effect isn't so much the motor abrubtly turning off, it is the realisation that many bikes have tyres that are overkill on normal trails/paths. Without the volspeed i was really struggling to pedal more than 1mph faster than the motor cutoff and would be left behind by friends on normal...
My gopro turned up this afternoon :D Now to get it charged. My plan is to run it at 5k with hypersmooth on then edit videos in 4k. I guess it'll be a learning process. Got a couple of mounting options but i do like the chin mount for the lower angle without having to faff about with the chesty.
The hardest part is getting the crank off really. there are 2 plugs that come out of the bike behind the cover and plug into the volspeed, these then go back into the bike. it basically just piggybacks off the original loom and you hold down the - button on the purion for 4 seconds to...
