The strange behavior of the motor definitely has something to do with switching it on. Today I tried @ficorama version, unfortunately without success. Then I only switched on the motor after starting to ride under load with the result that the motor did not provide any support at all, regardless...
If I have time at the weekend I will open the engine to see if the cable connection between the torque sensor and the controller is ok. Maybe the plug isn't sitting right 🤷♂️
@thaeber , can you read torque information with your display or BESST-Tool from your motor ?
If the frame now gets a slack steering angle between 65 and 66 degrees and a steep seat angle + BAFANG M510 motor mount I would pre-order one right away 😍
The distance between magnet and sensor is approx. 4mm. But it is the LCES 1075 frame from Light-Carbon. Had loaded the latest firmware and unfortunately the dropouts were back 🤷♂️
Under "natural" I understand something else. The harder I pedal, the more the motor should support me. And depending on the driving level more or less. And don't provide almost full power with a light pedal pressure.
The cut-off’s seem to have gone with the other magnet and the stainless steel screws. Many thanks to @VMG Chris for the tip 👍 But there is still the poor dosing due to the torque sensor 🤷♂️ My M600 reacts very sensitively to the pedal pressure, the M510 actually not at all.
I have replaced the BAFANG magnet with a weaker Bosch magnet with 2 stainless steel screws and hope this will stop the dropouts. I am satisfied with the battery management as far as I use a 14S battery and at 40% there are still 46 volts. A good value to reduce performance.
@JimLee-Lightcarbon , it’s time for a new frame.😉 Maybe something with a horizontal shock similar to Specialized. Do you have something planned in that direction?
Like this, only with a mounting plate for the M500/600 :LightCarbon 2019 New All Mountain Suspension Enduro Frame...
It’s a pity that BAFANG doesn't test its software itself before selling the motors 😉
What do BAFANG think the engines are used for? Go shopping at the weekly market?
Had the first longer ride today and can't figure out the engine 🤷♂️ The first 5 miles were terrible with many dropouts and uneven power output. Then, after a short break turned the engine back on and run flawlessly for 15 miles without misfiring. Then after the second break every 3 seconds a...
I wanted to calibrate the torque sensor but that doesn't work because it can't be read out. With the M600 this is no problem. The M510 has very good hardware but miserable software 🙈
BAFANG would have to allow an app for the M510, as with the M620, all parameters can be changed via EggRider.
You have my sympathy, it's a shame about the two engines. And all because BAFANG is not able to deliver its engines with a reasonable software 🥺
So it's no wonder that no major bike manufacturer wants to work with BAFANG 🙈
And the BESST-Tool better called "BEAST-Tool" 😉
