actually if its a slow, long technical rocky section...have you ever consided turning off all power? I can ride the SL like a normal manual, i dont feel the weight, and there is no crank resistance. Use the power on the mega climbs
I had 2 levos, and now on a SL. The lack of belt in the SL makes the power delivery slightly chunkier, kinda like a cheap DCT. I only use 100/100 on smooth uphills where i can power tru, and keep my cadence smooth, then u dont feel the 'power jerk"
For technical slower uphills, at most 60%...
Its not normal, my 2020 SL is quieter than both my 18 and 19 Levo turbo. Also the pitch/whine is different..it sounds loud to the rider..but if you are next to a SL, its alot quieter than turbos
strange...i find the swat tool the best thing in biking since....dropper posts came in 2011. I even installed it in my non Spez bikes
Keep it. its so useful, the levo rear bolt tends to get loose because of the torque from the motor,so nice to be able to tighten in the middle of nowhere using...
i have xpel on my car, love it. but i wasnt going to spend the same cash on my bike...i ride pretty rough terrain and it was bound to get scratched and damaged.
i ordered ali express invisifilm..its basicly usd3-5 for metres of the stuff. slightly thinner than original xpel, but it works fine...
i had ohlins rxf on my 2018, and a pike on my 2019 levo. its perfectly adequate...in fact..i like it so much, i ordered a pike ulitmate to replace a older lyrik on my SB140
Am 85kg and consider myself a aggresive rider, and regularly do stravasshole runs to chase times at my local trails
2 other things u can try, dropper cable (sometimes it gets kinked internally, remove it, ride with a fixed post, see if it sorts out the noise...or ride it with the dropper in diffrent position to stretch out the cable)
take out the motor, grease the side of the motor frame, where it touches...
great build to see what is humanly possible with the SL. But this build not for my local trails, it would shatter the moment we hit our first rock garden :)
to me it is. maybe not to others.
im faster on my manual on the downhills than my much heavier turbo. shouldnt compare a XC with a turbo, diffrent capability bike. Compare a full sus enduro bike with at least 150/150 suspension
its not the weight its how it feels. My expert turbo is 20.5kg, and I spent the whole morning with a 18.5kg SL...it feels waaaaay lighter than the on paper 2kg diffrence
no. more like trail. but the sensation is diffrent cos the SL feels so much faster/lighter.
Its very hard to describe. My turbo is 20.5kg on paper and it def feels that weight. a SL at 18.5, on paper its only 2kg lghter....but it just doesnt feel that heavy
Its louder than a 19 turbo, but quieter than a 18 turbo. If you have ridden either of those. But honestly its a non issue, i think most ppl would forget about it within a few min
it depends on how long your rides are as well. I have a 19 levo, and even after swapping out my 700wh battery with another owners 500wh, i only use at most 2 bars over a 2 hour ride in my local trails going at FULL TURBO speeds
I dont need the extra power of the turbo or the huge ass battery...
the Kick is alot harder than the levo turbo due to the lack of a belt in the motor. Back to back riding a SL and Turbo...the SL is quite clunky at low speeds
