interesting how Forex works...due to my country's currency being weak vs GBP and USD...but strong vs NZD....the Sworks Levo in NZ is the cheapest for us...almost 5000-6000 myr diffrence ( average monthly wage is 2000+)
Funny thing is the 2018 Expert isnt even launched in my country yet...1st shipment supposed to arrive next month. We have had the Sworks and comp since jul
AMEN
why the hate on other ppls choice of tires? have you ever ridden in a tropical rain forest, with 1 foot wide trails and raintree roots? give me a 27.5 any day over 29ners...for my type of riding
As for the weight, currently on 2.6 MM ...cant see how they can be heavier than 29ners
The negative comments are from ppl comparing this 2019 "improved" version vs 2018. The 2018 is far better looking, with the motor and thicker downtube working well together
The 2019 Stumpy design doesnt translate well on the bulkier levo frame...looks terrible. Looks amazing on a Stumpy...looks like a afterthought/ patch job on a levo
it really depends on the sort of trails you ride. I ride tropical narrow technical rocky/rooty trails, and the 27.5 is alot more suitable, especially with the newer wide tires.
Started off a deacade ago on 26, went to 29 on a FSR Expert back in 2012..didnt like it...jumped on 27.5....never...
*warning* Incoming rant on CP and Spez seats
I had my first command post back in 2012, came with my FSR Stumpjumper Expert. Failed within a year..same with my ride buddy who bought same bike.
Fast forward to 2018, i get a new Sworks Levo, hated the CP at first use...it just wants to kick me in...
my theory is that Spez has locked in market for thier CP.....as it comes as standard. Unlike Rockshock Reverb or KS that actually has to be good for ppl to buy them.
owned 2x KS, 1xReverb, 2xCP (came with bike)...the CP is absolute dog shite...and wants to kill my balls
The reverb/KS on...
I have had 2 KS, 2 Command post over the last 8 years...both KS were bombproof...the Spez CP were rubbish. One broken within 1 year, the other replaced under warranty within 2 months
I actually have the opposite experience. We negotiated a deal with our dealer for Sworks, got a substantial discount (same price as expert rrp) and got a rear upgrade to Ohlins TTX coil shocks
I love my sworks. The ohlins front and rear is a huge step forward vs the rockshocks. The ohlins is...
On a spez...they really should have marketed it as 3 user defined settings, setting 1, 2 and 3. Like how BMW advertised M1, M2 driving modes for their ///M models
I dont have grip issues with the stock butchers...but this is the condition of my rears after just 180km...less than 2 months of riding.
On my manual Yeti, im currently running Hans Damphf which are over a year old, with better looking knobs
I think its the combination of heavy bike + soft...
