2018 sworks levo
in 6 months with the levo, my mileage was double my entire 2017 rides...skill gone up, cardio better, having more fun.
Its not all perfect though.
Command post replaced twice under warranty, i junked the 2nd one and replaced it with a reverb
Ohlins went in for the recall...
Not for my group of 6 riders, all on reverb, no failures since we started using them bout 4-5 years ago
vs CP, 4 failures in a period of 5-6 years, same group of 6 riders.
Everyone has diffrent experiences, but for my group, the CP has dogshite rep.
im sure there are thousands of CP out there that are working fine, but it doesnt change the fact that the CP def fails very often. I had a Stumpjumper before the levo, with a gen 1 CP.....yup you guessed it...failed within 1 year.
I have owned reverbs and KS as well, and neither failed before i...
i had 2 replacement CP on my levo under warranty and i gave up. replaced with a tried and tested Rockshox Reverb and all my problems went away. No more creaks, no more rattles, no more smashed balls
have put in another 100km on the new Reverb, bike still silent...its awesome now. Took about 6...
if you dont know the legnth of your stock stem, and havnt ridden your bike yet...dont change for the sake of changing. Ride the bike first....if it feels good, leave it. once you are comfortable with the bike and you feel there is room for improvements, you start modding
first thing every rider in my group changed. the Levo stem is one ugly XC looking stem. Most of us went to 30mm, Diety, 5050, thompson just to name a few.
For me it was more of a cosmetic change, i really couldnt stand the sight of it
rear axle came loose on my bike and another levo in my group within 200km. 12 years of riding before that, and that has never happened before.
Tightened mine back to correct torque...it was loose again within 1 month...retightened and blue loctite it...been ok so far.
the Super DH is Bells latest helmet with full DH certification and MIPS version 2. I have two 2Rs, and got the DH recently, get the DH, its slightly heavier..but the improvements make up for it.
I have a Bell 2R and Super DH, used to take off the chinbar when i ride manuals...but ever since i got my ebike, the increase speed/airflow means i dont bother anymore, i wear the full FF.
i seen too many accidents on supposedly "safe" and "easy" trails....3 of the worse accidents i have seen...
I have a 2018 levo and a Yeti Sb5c, will never ride my local trails with my manual over the ebike ever again. In my country, there are no uplifts, no shuttles...its all grueling climbs to the top....in the 3 months since i got my Levo, i have ridden more km than the whole of 2017 on my manual (i...
In my area, only Specialized had a large fleet of demo's to ride. My group spent hours on the trails on diffrent size Levo's before we decided. I had always had M bikes...but trying the spez M and L back to back, convinced me that i was much more comfortable on a L
