    I like the idea and process, but the art of it all is fabricating the mould (as you already stated). Did I understand that correctly? Otherwise, clever idea for the small fabrication shop. It would be a challenging DIY work-around👊

    Sure on some. Not on all. This Cube E-mtb looks fairly close to the CEF50. It's definitely piggybacked onto the the Cube OEM guard plastic, but a complete shell with internal "trusses" could be added.     I'd argue, and think most emtbers too, that it should be able to handle a direct hit on punchy ascents. It's not the same as a crash impact from a hard landing or failed descent. I can only speak for myself, I'm a very good technical climber, 35 yrs + mtber...the SZZS guard is amazingly weak...

    Good idea💪....but i'd consider covering ALL the underside and side fairings. A few of us had the motor guard completely shatter into ten pieces plus just on soft branches/wood step-ups. Check out last July and August of last year on this thread.🍻

    The CAD-file could be helpful. 👍 But probably easier/cheaper to just buy another SZZS plastic guard instead of 3-D printing it up.
