SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Dude, while your latest photos are adorable family fun. All your posts are confusing and vague. Bottomline: you purchased your bike completely built through Rockcan right? Are you just advertising it? Because this is really a DIY thread not a 3rd party Rockcan vendor forum. We use this thread...

Ideally a wireless handlebar mount remote selector button will be the next Bafang evolution...that and an even a lower profile one too!🤟

Yipes!😱 That's likely too tight of almost 90° angle and may fray that cable over time? I'd recommend moving it toward your stem inward on your bars using the traditional single mount clamp. Since you're running a big 820 mm bar, you likely have broad shoulders and a longer thumb to reach in...

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

These won't fit unfortunately. They're curved. I had them in my hands last week to physically inspect them. I returned them. 😞

You run an 11 spd right, 46 or 48 or even 50T cassette? I had a 30T/50T on my fat bike analog to crawl up hills...I think some hikers beat me up to the top a few times...but hey, in the super steep, a 30T rocks!👊😎

A big answer, 😁 maybe 36T? But I doubt it. Just too close to the stay. I think it's spec'd max 34T. FYI: I use 32T for technical climbing at a high cadence. Anyone able to fit a big 36T out there yet? 🤔

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

Yeah, I gotcha. We kinda have to be....no alternatives in this one scenario. Can't readily find these screw-in, clamp-down frame guides. Just hate having my rig being down longer due to dumb delays with weak excuses.😞🤬😁 Yes, Linda is always friendly and mostly responsive. But not that accurate...

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

GOOD NEWS!😝 I believe that this is my last serious transaction with SZZS and Linda. After a work-week delay, I will finally get a tracking number for the screw-in cable guides sent out today. 🤞 I ordered air express DHL 5-9 days. Sure it was just 4 pieces of plastic the size of a thumb 👍 for...

Yeah, I got this one and my conversion thread cleaned up now...so hopefully no confusion. ✅

ICR Headsets for the SZZS-specific CEF50 build

I found the editor drop down for the title. I changed it to just CEF50 now!👍

ICR Headsets for the SZZS-specific CEF50 build

I went through the pages on this thread, looks like all are CEF50 owners I think. I wonder if can change the name of the thread title to just CEF50 ICR headsets or is that moderator thing?

ICR Headsets for the SZZS-specific CEF50 build

Hmmm...And you're using the Cane Creek 40 ZS56/28.6 upper headset assembly throughout? What are you using for the lower assembly again? Cable rattling too huh? I ran my cables atop of my battery which has natural channels for 720Wh after I loosened it at the 4 downtube hex bolts and then...

Ultimately, if you seek max travel on 29er" the 55 mm stroke gets you more. Worst case add a spacer/token and take it back down. If you don't care then sure 52.5/50 mm is proven safe. Also, in theory the rear triangle stays the same, it's the front triangle that changes. Yes, some high-end...

I have a 27.5 x 2.8" rear so it's taller 28.7ish" on a L frame. There is no cross bridge on the rear linkage frees up the travel arc.

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

If you want longer travel, Max safe travel is 55mm stroke. 8 months with absolutely NO (=0) problems, lots of small jumps/hops/drops. Yields 165 +/- mm of rear plushness! 🍻

Non-ICR headset, internal frame cable guide conversion for the SZZS-specific CEF50

Sweet! Hope Tech recently added a new line of ZS56/28.6 top assembly headsets. Hope makes known quality, great color bling schemes and race precision CNC, as well as bomb-proof Enduro brand bearings. Available in the US in only a few places. Got mine for $60. Decided to return the standard black...
