The white/black paint job is really nice, especially the black bottom of the downtube. It really stream-lines it to give it better proportion.💪💸 Also, awesome (Fox and Ohlin) top-end sus!🤟
I keep mine inside like a favorite family pet dog. 😎 But, yes you make good points. Also, It would be hard to fly on commercial airlines with this frame.
As she should. Remember still under warranty with Bafang. 😁
But there has been a lot of changes and work arounds to get used too. Most has been solved over time with the motor guard exception.🤬🤯🤕
A year later and 1000 miles, my CEF 50 is still going strong.👊
I'm ok with the 720 Wh too....less weight for the motor drop frame. Soon I'll plan the extender mount for camping, but really haven't needed a larger one for me under 2.5 hrs of riding..👑
I think you're going the right route. Most of the OEM hardware from these direct factory purchases are inferior, often out of spec or just have low spec bearings. I had to gamble with the top ICR headset going with SZZS. And got burned twice.
But the issue for traditional frame cable routing...
Yeah, I've never seen the 63/62 mm option. And since my top cup is installed I can't easily measure headtube OD.
4 possibilities.
1. Ask SZZS the headtub ODs. (Might take a while).
2. Buy both 63 and 62 mm (more costly for return shipping so probably eat the cost or eBay it.)
3. Order the Hope...
A few were able to do the ICR headset using specifically and only (so far) the Nukeproof/Token ZS56 ICR headset. We put up a separate thread on the subject.
I 86'd it myself and did the ICR frame conversion. I feel that I have a better setup now, just not as clean of course. A separate thread...
I had to drop my motor and remove my battery to change out my old dropper cable for the new dropper. Since, I never got a chance to last May, I thought I would weigh my 720 Wh battery with it's Al casing.
Yep, 8.74 +/- lbs or 3.97 kgs. Can't wait soon enough for the better battery chemistry of...
I went with UK store Twenty 20...it took about a week to get to AZ. But the LBS bike shop in Tx has Hope in stock (just not purple at the time). The Acros from Germany was a week and a half??? Fairly fast overall.👍
Calipers were touching frame when measured. Just couldn't hold it long enough without jiggling and potentially stratching my paint job for the snapshot...damn auto focus takes forever!🤯😁
Plus, hope has oversized bearing balls, that gives more durability and performance...inspires more confidence when navigating rough terrain: drops, hops, and pops....no pun intended.😎🍻
OEM is junk. Hope and Cane Creek were my two top choices. But go to the begining of this non-ICR headset thread for the full list all 5 ZS56 tops prices and links if you haven't already.👊
